Who We Are

In Settimo Torinese, Italy, is active one of the main production centers of L’Oréal Group in the world. The plant's products are distributed in 30 countries. The production site is a full expression of the industrial, social and environmental values of the Group: quality, the result of innovation and control in production, safety of the working environments, minimal impact on the environment. Between 2005 e il 2020 in terms of enviromental management, outstanding results have been reached. The site is in fact carbon neutral since 2015 and since 2018 is also a waterloop factory, that is a production site which consumes water solely as a raw material for products and not for other uses.

We Are Looking For

The Packaging Shift Leader reports to the Production Unit Manager and manages activities in the areas of production.

Position themselves as a point of reference for the different Services of the Plant in order to guarantee the direct labor to produce in quality, safety and performance, ensuring the realization of the production plan.

The role combines strategic vision and team leadership.

Key Responsabilities

• He/She leads a team of autonomous packaging operators to uphold safety, quality, sustainability, and performance standards while contributing to continuous improvement and fostering team development and autonomy
• He/She acts as the key point of contact between management and shopfloor teams to align daily execution with operational priorities
• Guarantees efficient and compliant execution of packaging operations, with a focus on safety, product quality, sustainability
• Maintains the team's adherence to economic performance and productivity standards
• Coordinates with planners and cross-functional teams (processing, flow) to align shift activities with short-term priorities to win the shift/day
• Ensures proper staffing and readiness of the team to meet the daily/weekly/monthly productions chedule
• Guarantees the application of standards and their evolution, and takes immediate action when deviation is observed
• Leads short-term trouble shooting on the line, including autonomous maintenance first-level predictive and corrective maintenance
• Leads first-level investigations and implements corrective actions in case of deviations, escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders
• Maintain sand updates shift documentation (incident logs, shift reports, quality checks)
• Guarantees continuity between shifts by organizing effective handovers and communicating relevant information
• Develops and coach the team's multi-skilling and autonomy by developing operators and technicians' skills
• Leads onboarding and on-the-job training of new team members, ensuring operational L’Oréal standards are well applied

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in engineering
• Must have 3+ years experience in industial context
• Previous team management
• Willingness to work shifts and continuous cycle
• Excellent knowledge of the Italian language and good knowledge of English; French is a plus
• Proficiency in software applications and data analyst program 
• Knowledge of equipment, root cause analysis
• Knowledge of safety, quality and regulatory standard
