Hello, we’re L’Oréal. We're not just building brands; we're shaping how the world experiences beauty. At YSL Beauty, we believe that beauty is a gesture of rebellion and an invitation to defy convention. Intrigued? Keep reading; this might be the bold career move you've been searching for.
A Day in the Life
As the Marketing Manager for YSL Beauty, you will be the chief architect of our brand's disruptive success in the ANZ market. This role requires an "Intrapreneurial" spirit—merging the heritage and scale of L’Oréal Luxe with the provocative, fast-moving energy of a Couture fashion house. This role is a 12 month maximum term contract.
- The YSL Edge: YSL Beauty thrives on subverting the status quo. You won’t just manage budgets; you will use avant-garde thinking and cultural "hacks" to deliver high-impact marketing strategies. From viral product launches to immersive retail activations, you will lead with a true O+O (Online + Offline) mindset that prioritizes "cool" alongside "commercial."
- Drive Brand Growth: By decoding market trends, consumer shifts, and commercial performance, you'll identify new opportunities to elevate YSL’s presence and achieve aggressive business objectives in the luxury sector.
- Retailer Leadership: Act as the authoritative marketing voice with our premium retail partners. You will design and pitch sophisticated launch architectures to retailers, securing optimal distribution, high-impact animations, and long-term, prestigious shelf presence whilst also maintaining and protecting the performance of core lines, ensuring continued brand growth across the customer landscape.
- Mentor the Rebels: You will lead and inspire your team, fostering a culture of excellence and empowering them to deliver world-class results while navigating their own ambitious career paths within L'Oréal.
- Collaborate for Impact: Working at the intersection of CGO, CMO, Supply Chain, and the Global Zone and DMI, you will ensure a seamless, integrated, and "on-brand" approach to every initiative.
We Are Looking For
We are seeking a strategic, commercially sharp leader with a proven ability to scale luxury icons. You are a natural collaborator and an inspiring people leader who can turn consumer insights into provocative marketing. You thrive in high-pressure, high-reward environments and are ready to leave your mark on the YSL legacy.
- Marketing Mastery: The ability to define a compelling brand vision that aligns with YSL’s "Young, Edgy, Luxury" DNA and translate it into actionable, market-leading plans.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate sound commercial and business acumen, confidently dissecting and responding to brand performance while driving strategic, profitable, and sustainable growth across a broad and varied customer landscape. You will confidently lead the development and execution of the brand’s 3-year construction plan across customer and category lines.
- Creative Defiance: You understand that luxury isn't just about spending—it's about impact. You’ll drive growth through strategic partnerships, organic hype, creative solutions, and consumer journeys to cut through the noise of a crowded market and deliver strong ROI.
- Social & Cultural Transformation: Oversee and support the strategic direction for our digital presence. In collaboration with the Senior Digital Brand Manager and Community Manager, you will transform our social and digital channels into high-engagement hubs, shifting from merely "posting" to actively "participating" in—and defining—modern beauty culture.
- Makeup & Fragrance Intelligence: You are obsessed with the latest trends and the high-end Influencer landscape. You will translate your passion for the "social scene" into commercial strategies that drive sell-out for our iconic portfolio (from Libre to Loveshine).
- Premier Retailer Partnerships: Extensive experience collaborating with major ANZ luxury retailers (e.g., Myer, David Jones, Mecca, Sephora) to drive mutual, prestige-level success, with a focus on championing continuous evolution of initiatives, operational excellence, forward thinking solutions, and the identification of incremental and new opportunities.
- Elite People Development: A track record of coaching and mentoring high-performing teams to exceed expectations, while fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration.
What’s In It For You
- A platform to leave your comfort zone and grow beyond your potential—here, we don't just encourage risk-taking; we celebrate it.
- Real responsibility from Day 1. At YSL Beauty, there is no sitting on the sidelines; you are on the front lines of beauty.
- An environment where people of every ethnicity, social background, age, religion, gender, and sexual orientation, as well as people with disabilities, are celebrated and empowered to speak up.
- The chance to contribute to something bigger. Through initiatives like our "Abuse is Not Love" global program, you will help YSL make a concrete difference in societal causes.
