Job Title: Legal Counsel – Commercial & Digital (GCC and Levant)
Location: Dubai
Reporting Line: Reports directly to the MENA General Counsel
 
Overview
 We are seeking a dynamic and business-oriented Legal Counsel to join our MENA legal team. This role is ideal for a mid-level professional (3–5 years of experience) who is eager to operate in a fast-paced, high-demand environment and contribute meaningfully to business growth while ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
 
 The position offers significant exposure to strategic commercial matters, with a strong focus on e-commerce, digital transformation, and AI-driven initiatives within the Group.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Commercial & Contractual Support
 
 Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (distribution, services, marketing, partnerships, etc.)
 Provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice to business teams
 Ensure alignment with Group policies and applicable laws across MENA
 Anticipate risks and propose mitigation strategies supporting business continuity
 
E-commerce & Digital Projects
 
 Act as a legal partner for e-commerce initiatives
 Support digital platforms, online sales models, and omnichannel strategies
 Advise on consumer protection, T&Cs, and platform liability
 
AI & Innovation
 
 Support AI-related projects (development, deployment, use)
 Assess risks linked to data, IP, and emerging regulations
 Contribute to internal governance frameworks for responsible AI use
 
Legal Risk Management & Compliance
 
 Ensure compliance with relevant laws (including competition, consumer, and data privacy)
 Support internal stakeholders in risk identification and management
 Contribute to legal guidelines and best practices
 
Business Partnering
 
 Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams
 Provide clear, business-oriented legal advice
 Balance legal risks with commercial objectives
 
 
Profile & Qualifications
 
 3–5 years of relevant legal experience (law firm and/or in-house)
 Law degree from a reputable university
 Fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory)
 French is a plus
