Job: Merchandising Manager - Consumer Products Division
Reports to: Brand Business Leader
About the Role:

L'Oréal is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Merchandising Manager to join our Consumer Products Division. In this role, you will play a key part in maximizing the visibility and profitability of our leading brands within [Specify channel e.g., grocery, drugstore, mass market, e-commerce etc.].
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Merchandising Strategies: Create and implement innovative merchandising strategies that align with brand marketing objectives and drive sales growth within the assigned retail channel.
- Optimize Product Assortment: Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to optimize product assortment and planogram development, ensuring the right products are available in the right place at the right time.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Category Management, to ensure seamless execution of merchandising plans. Maintain strong relationships with key retail partners.
- Point-of-Sale (POS) Management: Develop impactful POS materials and displays that elevate brand visibility and enhance the consumer shopping experience. Oversee the production, distribution, and installation of these materials.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing out-of-stocks and maximizing sales opportunities. Forecast future inventory needs based on sales trends and promotional activity.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, market share, and return on investment (ROI) to measure the effectiveness of merchandising initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to management.
- Budget Management: Manage merchandising budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and maximizing return on investment.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously research and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new merchandising opportunities and best practices.
- Field Visits & Store Checks: Conduct regular field visits to assess in-store execution, gather market intelligence, and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the consumer goods or beauty industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful merchandising strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with planogram software is a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed.
