Job Title: Product Manager - L'Oreal Professionnel, Professional Products Division
WHO WE ARE:
L'Oréal Professionnel Care provides the finest products and services to hair professionals worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to drive the growth of L'Oréal Professionnel Care by deeply understanding evolving beauty market trends and the salon business environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in B2B2C marketing, omnichannel strategies, and multi-channel distribution management to strengthen salon partnerships and provide the optimal brand experience to end consumers. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our brand within the professional hair care industry.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Market Analysis and Strategic Planning: Conduct in-depth analysis of the professional hair care market, competitive landscape, and consumer needs (including market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and SWOT analysis) to develop and execute data-driven product marketing strategies. Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to achieve competitive advantage.
- Product Launch and Lifecycle Management: Plan and execute new product launch strategies and manage the entire product lifecycle (Product Lifecycle Management) post-launch. Utilize the marketing mix (4Ps - Product, Price, Place, Promotion) to maximize product competitiveness within the market.
- Marketing Communications and Content Development: Develop effective messaging and communication strategies tailored to salon professionals and end consumers. Create engaging content (utilizing storytelling techniques) for various channels (social media, website, print materials, etc.) to drive brand awareness and product sales, build customer engagement, and strengthen brand loyalty.
- B2B2C Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute marketing strategies that cater to both salons (B2B) and end consumers (C). Strengthen salon partnerships and enhance brand image by implementing differentiated B2B and B2C marketing activities, including educational programs and promotions for salon professionals and curated brand experiences for consumers.
- Omnichannel Marketing Strategy: Manage online (e-commerce, social media, website) and offline (salons, retail stores) channels integratively to provide a consistent and seamless brand experience. Implement channel-specific optimized marketing activities, leverage data analytics to understand the customer journey, and deliver personalized messaging and content to enhance customer experience and drive conversions.
- Multi-Channel Distribution Strategy and Management: Develop and manage strategies for various distribution channels, including salons, distributors, wholesalers, e-commerce, and specialty retail, ensuring synergy between channels. Analyze channel characteristics and customer demographics to implement and manage optimal distribution strategies.
- Salon Partnership Reinforcement and Professional Training: Build and maintain robust salon partnerships through diverse programs (training, joint marketing, promotions, etc.) to support long-term salon growth and foster brand loyalty. Simultaneously, provide salon professionals with training and resources on L'Oréal Professionnel Care products, techniques, and the latest trends and product knowledge to enhance their expertise and deepen brand understanding.
- Distributor/Wholesaler Management: Establish and maintain effective collaboration with distributors and wholesalers, supporting product supply, inventory management, and sales promotion activities to maximize distribution efficiency. Strengthen partnerships through regular communication and performance analysis.
- E-commerce Channel Activation: Develop and execute brand and product sales strategies on owned e-commerce platforms or external marketplaces. Drive brand awareness and sales growth through online marketing activities and optimize the customer journey.
- Specialty Retail Channel Management: Develop and execute tailored marketing and sales strategies for specialty retail channels, including product displays, promotions, and sales staff training, to effectively communicate brand value and drive sales.
- Collaboration and Performance Analysis: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (sales, education, R&D, digital marketing, etc.) to ensure successful execution of marketing activities and drive synergy. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze performance (using A/B testing and other methods), and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
QUALIFICATION:
- Education : University graduate
- Year of Experience : +3 - 7 years
- Experience:
3+ years of experience in product marketing within the beauty/hair care industry (B2B2C experience preferred)
Strong understanding of the professional hair care market
Understanding of B2B2C business models and omnichannel marketing strategies
Experience managing various distribution channels (salons, distributors, wholesalers, e-commerce, specialty retail)
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, and partnership management skills
Strong data analysis and utilization skills, market and customer analysis capabilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Language: Fluent in both Korean and English
- Other skills: Proficient with Excel, PPT, and any other analysis tool
