A Day in the Life

As our IT Buyer in Mexico City, you will be part of Indirect Sourcing team, as a strategic partner, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the acquisition of technology goods and other Business Services for the organization. You will ensure our teams have the essential tools and services they need, all while securing the best value, quality, and mitigating risks.

In this role, you will:

• Lead Sourcing Strategy: Drive competitive bidding processes (RFP, RFQ, RFI) for key IT categories such as Software (SaaS/On-premise), Hardware, Cloud Services, and Professional IT Services. Lead the IT procurement strategy in Mexico, ensuring full alignment with Global and Regional directives to leverage economies of scale and maintain technological consistency.
• Negotiate and Manage Contracts: Skillfully negotiate commercial terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and complex contracts in partnership with our legal and information security departments.
• Manage Supplier Relationships: Evaluate, select, and manage the performance of IT suppliers, fostering strong relationships with key partners (e.g., Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, AWS) and proactively seeking new market opportunities.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a strategic partner to the IT and Digital departments, understanding their technical roadmaps and translating them into efficient procurement opportunities.
• Drive Cost Optimization: Identify and execute on savings opportunities by analyzing license renewals, consolidating suppliers, and ensuring the best total cost of ownership.
• Ensure Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Guarantee all suppliers adhere to company compliance, data privacy policies, and cybersecurity standards, while managing the lifecycle of contracts and licenses to prevent service disruptions.

We Are Looking For

• We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical thinking and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to translate technical needs into commercial terms will be key to your success. You are a great match for this role if you possess:
• Highly experienced in purchasing, with significant proven experience focused specifically on IT or technology categories (+5 years).
• A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or ITIL are a plus.
• Negotiation: You can influence and close beneficial agreements in complex technical environments.
• Data Analysis: You are proficient in creating spend reports, forecasting budgets, and tracking key performance indicators.
• Strategic Sourcing: You have experience with e-sourcing tools and ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle).
• Project Management: You can manage multiple priorities and deadlines with agility and adaptability. High level of organization, capable of handling multiple procedures (internal policies) while leading complex projects simultaneously.
• Advanced English level is needed as the role requires daily communication with global teams and frequent negotiations with foreign suppliers.
• Stakeholder Management: You possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Your Experience / Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree preferred 
• +5 years of experience in strategic sourcing (IT related)
• Experience in Ariba or any Request to Pay
• Legal contract experience with Business Services suppliers

• FMCG/Beauty industry experience preferred
