The Transport Specialist  coordinates and supervises the transport of L’Oréal goods throughout the national network. He/She collaborating with transportation suppliers ensures  products deliveries  on time and in good condition and an high level of service to our customers

Daily Planning Transportation 

The Transport Specialist  plans and organises the most efficient transportation daily activities using the following:

• analysing shipping data, such as shipment volume, delivery schedules and customer demand, to determine the most efficient routes and schedules.
• using planning software to optimize trucks based on distance and Customer needs.
• considering capacity and vehicle types for each shipment, having the capacity to optimize trucks and to assure their availability for loading and unloading facilities.
• communicating with transportation suppliers to ensure they're aware of routes and schedules and to gain feedback on issues or delays.
• paying attention to costs and CO2 emissions

Scheduling deliveries

• Transport Specialist  duties also involve scheduling deliveries according to the customers needs and the availability of the transport company's trucks. He/She ensures the right vehicles and drivers are available to make the deliveries on time. The Transport Specialist  may use various methods to schedule deliveries, including the following:
• reviewing customer orders to determine the quantity and type of goods, the delivery date and the location.
• coordinating with other departments, such as sales, preparation and customer care, to ensure that the deliveries are scheduled to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
• using scheduling software to plan and manage deliveries by creating schedules, assigning drivers and vehicles and tracking progress in real-time.
• considering the best delivery routes and times based on traffic and delivery location and taking into account any restrictions, such as delivery windows or special delivery instructions.
• communicating with transportation supplier to ensure they're aware of their delivery schedules and to provide them with instructions or information.
• monitoring and adjusting schedules to account for delays or changes in customer requirements.
• paying attention to costs and CO2 emissions

Coordinating with suppliers and Customer care

The Transport Specialist  works closely with transportation suppliers and customer care . He/She communicates with both parties to keep them up to date on the status of deliveries and to resolve any issues that may arise. He/She uses various methods to coordinate with suppliers and customers, including the following:

• communicating regularly with suppliers and customer care to ensure that they're aware of changes in delivery schedules or requirements, gather feedback and address any issues or concerns.
• negotiating agreements with suppliers and customer care to outline the terms and conditions of transportation services, including, delivery schedules and special requirements.
• building strong relationships with suppliers and customer care to ensure they provide transportation services to meet the needs of all Customers.
• collaborating with suppliers and customer care regarding logistics to coordinate deliveries, send schedules, select delivery routes.
• resolving disputes that may arise between transportation suppliers, customers and the transport team and working with legal teams to settle unresolved disputes.

Ensuring compliance with regulations

The Transport Operator ensures that the company's transportation operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations. This includes compliance with safety regulations, environmental regulations. He can ensure compliance with regulations by implementing the following strategies:

• regularly reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure they adhere to current regulations.
• having a system in place for reporting and addressing non-compliance issues
• staying informed about changes to regulations and by scheduling regular meetings.
• maintaining records of compliance activities and violations to demonstrate due diligence and track progress.
