We have a suitable opportunity in the Professional Products Division for the position of Senior Manager – Digital Marketing for the brand L'Oréal Professionnel. In this people managerial role, you will be responsible for the brand’s digital strategy and execution end to end.

You should have ~10 years of relevant work experience in digital marketing. The location of the job will be in Mumbai and prior experience in beauty or FMCG at the client side will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Paid Media Marketing: 
    1. Plan and execute the paid media strategy for the brand across all touchpoints - digital, offline, search, outdoor and content partnerships.
    2. Strategize and execute Annual Media Strategy for the brand and work closely with the media agencies to deliver on those. 
    3. End to end management of all media campaigns from brief initiation to plan optimization to sharing of learnings with the category teams. 
    4. Be the budget custodian for consumer facing marketing spend. Plan, deploy and monitor spends closely as per agreed framework and timelines.
    5. Collaborate with the big media houses (Google/ Meta etc) to drive scale innovations for the brand. 
    6. Gather and cascade insights & learnings via social media listening, search trend analysis etc  
  • Digital Touchpoints ownership:
    1. Create world-class consumer experience for the brand across all digital touchpoints - website, chatbot, apps, social media etc. 
    2. Actively manage SEO scores and make interventions where required. 
    3. Conceptualize and own any new digital touchpoints that fit into brand plans.  
  • Digital transformation:
    1. Work closely with field teams and channel partners to drive brand digitalization at scale.
    2. Be the voice of change – educate, coach and mentor field teams and sales partners to embrace digital marketing
  • Advocacy & Influencers:
    1. Develop and execute an annual influencer strategy for the brand in line with marketing priorities.
    2. Closely monitor all advocacy plans including choice of content creators, formats, performance, intensity etc.
    3. Community building and management – Create, nurture and grow the community of brand advocates on social media. 
  • Team management:
    1. Develop LP digital team’s capability via mentorship and trainings.
    2. Provide thought leadership and team management skill (preferred)
  • Stakeholder management:
    1. Represent the brand in key internal and external forums (global, zone, CDMO etc).
    2. Manage all marketing agencies across paid media, performance marketing, social media, influencers etc

Key Competencies:

Needs a balanced profile of digital expertise + marketing / brand understanding. Incumbent needs to be very strong in one of these and have great desire & intent to upskill in the other if not already a skill. Rigor in execution is expected.

  • ~10 years of relevant experience
  • Specialization in Digital Media with a working knowledge of overall marketing and media. 
  • Beauty and Personal Care experience is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of the India media and digital market (ie, media cost dynamics, landscape, media usage trends, etc.)
  • Digital Expertise: conversant with all forms of digital formats and measurement
  • Comfortable to work in highly complex matrixed organizations. 

Key Relationships:

  • Internal Interactions: Marketing, E-commerce, Controlling etc.
  • External interaction with media, digital and influencer agencies and other technology partners & vendors.
  • Dual reporting into the General Manager, LP & Head Digital, Professional Products Division

  • Travel will be need based
