Division: Corporate Finance 

Location: L'Oréal Vietnam – Nexus Building (Ho Chi Minh City) 

1. Role Mission

The Finance Controller is a key transversal business partner responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing L’Oréal Vietnam’s Digital and Media investments. You will act as the financial guardian of E-commerce profitability and Digital ROI, ensuring that every Euro spent contributes to sustainable and profitable growth across all divisions.

2. Main Responsibilities & Deliverables

A. Digital & E-Commerce Performance Management

  • P&L Mastery: Follow and challenge E-commerce P&Ls across divisions, ensuring the accuracy of key financial indicators.
  • ROI Champion: Consolidate and analyze the ROI of Digital investments, identifying best practices and areas for optimization.
  • Transversal Analysis: Provide data-driven insights to the CFO and Digital teams to support strategic decision-making.

B. Media & A&P (Advertising & Promotion) Control

  • Financial SPOC: Act as the "Single Point of Contact" for Media systems, ensuring perfect synchronization between Media booking tools and Finance ERPs (SAP).
  • Spend Management: Frame, coordinate, and monitor Paid, Awareness, and Owned media budgets (excluding samples).
  • Budgeting (PB/B/Trend): Lead the Pre-Budget (PB), Budget (B), and Trend (T) processes for mutualized A&P accounts (CMI, CMO, etc.).

C. Process Excellence & Stakeholder Management

  • Harmonization: Standardize A&P tools and financial processes across multiple divisions to improve efficiency and data integrity.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Partner closely with Budget Owners (Finance & Non-Finance) to provide monthly reporting, trend analysis, and ad-hoc financial support.
  • DMI Management: Build and manage the rebilling process for non-specific A&P and International Marketing Departments (DMI).

3. Key Success Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy: Zero discrepancy between Media system reports and Finance general ledgers.
  • Profitability: Meaningful insights provided that lead to improved E-com ROI or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reliability: Timely and precise submission of Budget and Trend reports.
  • Influence: Ability to challenge budget owners and drive financial discipline within the marketing community.

4. Technical & Professional Competencies

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a Senior Finance Analyst or Controller role. Experience in E-commerce or Media/Agency finance is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel (data modeling/pivot tables). Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
