MAKE UP RETAIL EDUCATION MANAGER

Key Job Accountabilities

Strategy & Planning:

• Develop and execute the local category education strategy: This involves creating a yearly calendar, defining performance targets, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Manage KPIs: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to retail education. Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure training materials and programs are aligned with business needs and best practices are shared. Act as the key point of contact for Zone and DMI stakeholders.
• Content Localization: Adapt and translate global and zone-level category and brand content for local relevance.

Implementation & Training:

• Training Delivery: Conduct and facilitate trainings sessions for retail partners, focusing on product knowledge, selling techniques, and brand messaging.
• Coaching & Development: Provide coaching on-the-job support to category experts to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content for various training formats, including online modules, in-person sessions, and social media platforms.
• Training Coordination: Manage training calendars, logistics, and resources to ensure smooth and efficient execution.

Analysis & Optimization:

• Performance Tracking: Regularly audit retail education KPIs (e.g., CXE, levels of BA per brand, expert numbers) to identify areas for improvement.
• Best Practice Sharing: Share best practices and insights with zone and DMI stakeholders to enhance overall training effectiveness across regions.
• Content Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training materials and programs, making adjustments as needed to maximize impact.

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong combination of experience, skills, and personal attributes:

Experience:

• Proven experience in retail education, preferably within the cosmetics or beauty industry
• Make up artistry

Skills:

• Strong understanding of O+O (Online + Offline) learning principles: Experience designing and delivering blended learning experiences.
• Retail Expertise: Deep knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques and customer service best practices.
• Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in retail education and marketing.
• Content Creation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging and informative training materials.
• Pedagogical Skills: Proven ability to effectively deliver training and coach individuals to improve performance.
• Project Management: Strong organizational and planning skills, including budget management and event coordination.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across different departments and levels.
