WHAT YOU’LL DO
LEGAL:
- To provide legal counsel to BUs/entities: manage legal dossiers and operations, structure and coordinate relations with all the departments involved and with external counsels
- Advise operational and functional departments in all fields of Business Law
- Optimize legal security/compliance: provide reporting of legal documents and litigations, manage preliminary authorizations, follow compulsory standards
- Negotiate and draft all types of legal documents: internal and external to the Group, commercial, property, industrial and information systems contracts. Follow contractual relations with the department head
- Litigations and transactions: follow litigations (pre-litigations, litigations, trials and/or transactions) working with the departments concerned and external counsels
- Increase operational and functional departments awareness of Group best practices (in particular legal chart)
- Manage compliance agenda
DATA PROTECTION:
- Implement and locally adapt the Group Data Protection Governance Program in line with applicable regulations
- Ensure with IT security that relevant measures guarantee compliance with data protection policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with data protection requirements by maintaining processing records, adapting standard contractual clauses, and assessing privacy impacts of internal tools and procedures
- Act as the main local point of contact for data protection matters: liaise with the Group DPO, local management, Data Protection Authorities, and employees’ representatives
- Coordinate data breach management and ensure timely and appropriate handling of data subjects’ requests
- Monitor regulatory developments and report any risks or compliance issues to local management and the Group DPO
- Raise internal awareness through employee training, regular communication, and dedicated initiatives (e.g. Data Protection Day).
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES
- +7 years of experience as a lawyer and/or in-house counsel in Turkiye
- Substantial knowledge of and experience with commercial contracting
- Experience in the practice of general business law, with a focus on marketing, sales, distribution, labour law and dispute matters
- Experience with competition law
- Data privacy expertise
- Self-starter, strategic thinker and strong communication skills
