Job Description: Digital Media, Advocacy & Influence Manager – LDB South Africa

Role Overview: Lead the Digital Charge We are looking for a high-seniority Digital Leader to elevate our brands’ digital presence. As a key partner to the Divisional General Manager, you will transition our digital operations from a coordination level to a strategic powerhouse. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and engaging online experience, bridging the gap between scientific medical advocacy, medvocacy and high-performance digital media.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Media & Performance Management

  • Paid Media Leadership: Move beyond support to full ownership of digital paid media. You will drive burst validations, manage the media agency relationship, and lead bi-weekly performance reviews.
  • Full-Funnel Optimization: Oversee the link between "Media Shop" and brand suitability, ensuring all digital touchpoints (Search, Social, Programmatic) are optimized for ROI/ROAS.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Master the analytical landscape. You will track, measure, and report on key metrics, utilizing Google Analytics and internal dashboards to provide the DGM with actionable business intelligence.

2. Elevated Advocacy & Influence (A&I)

  • Strategy Implementation: Design and implement a robust A&I strategy. You will set timelines, vet high-tier influencers, and ensure all partners align with the medical credibility of LDB.
  • Ecosystem Management: Manage the complex link between influencer agencies and media agencies to ensure content assets are synchronized with paid media pushes.
  • Compliance & Authentication: Ensure 100% of influencers are authenticated before go-live, maintaining the strict ethical and medical standards required for dermatological beauty.

3. Content & Social Ecosystem

  • 360° Content Management: Lead the collaboration with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling digital content for websites, social platforms, e-commerce, and CRM/Email campaigns.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of the curve on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, identifying new opportunities to grow our online audience and drive meaningful engagement through annual digital calendars.

 

Professional & Technical Competencies Required

  • Seniority: 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, media, or advocacy roles. You must have a proven track record of managing large-scale budgets and complex influencer ecosystems.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Dermatological Expertise: Prior experience with dermatological or "expert" beauty brands is highly desirable; you must understand the "medical-first" consumer mindset.
  • Digital Native with Strategic Depth: While you possess the "hands-on" skills for CMS and social tools, you operate at a strategic level, capable of presenting to senior executive leadership.
  • Analytical Excellence: Advanced proficiency in web analytics and the ability to translate technical KPIs into business growth strategies.
