What You Will Do:

The IT Manager – Manufacturing & Internal Flows is an individual contributor role within the MQEHS IT domain, responsible for the day-to-day support, delivery, and continuous improvement of IT applications within the Manufacturing & Internal Flows subdomain across the Americas. Working in close collaboration with the MQEHS IT Domain Leader, this role ensures that all manufacturing end-users across L'Oréal's Americas plant network are fully supported in their IT application requirements — minimizing business disruption and driving platform adoption across the manufacturing environment.

This role reports to the AVP, IT – Americas Operations – Manufacturing, Quality & EHS Domain Leader.

Functional Expertise & Solution Development

  • Develop deep functional expertise across manufacturing IT platforms — including SAP ECC (production planning, manufacturing modules), Apriso/WISE (MES), and Industry 4.0 applications (ECUNET, E2Open, Pipechain, Midas) — serving as a go-to technical resource for the MQEHS domain
  • Act as Level 4 (L4) functional support for Manufacturing & Internal Flows applications — serving as the deepest escalation point for complex functional issues, working in close liaison with the SDM organization to ensure timely resolution and uninterrupted manufacturing operations across the Americas
  • Test and validate enhancements, bug fixes, and system solutions prior to deployment — ensuring quality, accuracy, and business alignment
  • Contribute to the design and development of new functionalities that enhance manufacturing efficiency, working closely with the AVP, Domain Architects, and Solution Experts
  • Develop and maintain job aids, procedures, and technical documentation to support knowledge transfer and platform adoption across the Americas manufacturing sites

Project Delivery & Change Management

  • Support and manage assigned IT projects within the Manufacturing & Internal Flows subdomain, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and quality standards
  • Lead change management and end-user training initiatives for new tools, enhancements, and system deployments across Americas manufacturing sites
  • Learn, deploy, and support new IT tools and solutions as assigned, ensuring seamless adoption within the manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of system changes and user satisfaction across all impacted sites

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong working relationships with manufacturing business users, plant operations teams, and functional leads across the Americas — understanding their needs and translating them into actionable IT solutions
  • Engage with business partners and BRMs to gather requirements, communicate progress, and ensure IT solutions align with operational priorities
  • Collaborate with the MQEHS IT Domain Leader and broader IT team to escalate complex issues, contribute to roadmap discussions, and share insights from the manufacturing floor

What We Are Looking For:

Technical & Domain

  • Solid hands-on experience with SAP ECC (production planning, manufacturing, or related modules) in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of Apriso / WISE (Manufacturing Execution System) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 applications — including ECUNET, E2Open, Pipechain, and/or Midas — is a strong advantage
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (packaging, processing, production planning) and their IT application landscape in an FMCG or Consumer Goods environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and functional issues independently
  • Experience with testing methodologies, system validation, and documentation development

Interpersonal

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to engage effectively with plant operations teams, functional users, and IT colleagues across a geographically dispersed Americas organization
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability manufacturing environment where system availability directly impacts production
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions within defined authority levels
  • Adaptable and willing to support critical business processes outside standard working hours when required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in IT or as a super user in a manufacturing or operations business environment
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP ECC and Apriso/WISE in a manufacturing context
  • Experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Goods manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Experience working across multi-site, multi-country Americas operations is a strong advantage
  • Languages: English required | Spanish preferred
