What will you do?

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Distributor Manager - GMA to spearhead our route-to-market strategy. In this role, you will be the primary link between the brand, our distribution partners and key retailers. Your mission is to ensure excellence in execution, optimize distributor performance, and drive sustainable growth across diverse channels—including Modern Trade and General Trade (Traditional).

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the Philippine geography and retail landscape, coupled with strong negotiation skills and a data-driven approach to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Management: Act as the lead point of contact for key distributors, build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships to ensure brand priority and focus.
  • Sales & Growth Targets: Define and cascade monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (Sell-in and Sell-out). Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Route-to-Market (RTM) Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve RTM strategies to increase numeric and weighted distribution. Identify opportunities for geographic expansion or channel-specific penetration.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Oversight: Ensure optimal stock levels at distributor warehouses to prevent out-of-stock (OOS) situations while managing healthy days of cover (DOC).
  • Field Execution & Quality: Conduct regular market visits to audit "Perfect Store" execution, ensuring merchandising standards, pricing compliance, and promotional implementation are met at the shelf.
  • Financial Management: Manage distributor trade spend, promotional budgets, and commercial terms. Conduct regular business reviews (MBR and QBRs) and ensure timely collections and financial health of partners.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Distributor Executives, Sales Representatives and Managers, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Commercial Compliance: Oversee claims processing, credit limit management and accounts receivable. Ensure distributors adhere to transparency, audit standards, and commercial policies.
  • Budgetary & P&L Ownership: Full accountability for the distributor trade spend and commercial budgets. You will manage P&L, ensuring that all trade investments are optimized for maximum ROI and that the "Cost-to-Serve" remains competitive.
  • End-to-End Forecast Management: Lead the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process for your territory. You will be responsible for generating accurate bottom-up demand forecasts by analyzing historical trends, distributor inventory levels, and upcoming marketing activations to minimize forecast bias.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in Sales or Distributor Management within the FMCG industry in the Philippines.
  • Market Knowledge: Proven track record of managing large-scale distributors across North/South Luzon, Visayas, or Mindanao.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate high-level business goals into actionable distributor plans.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate complex negotiations and conflict resolution.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Skilled in using data (Nielsen, internal sales dashboards, distributor DMS) to derive insights and make informed decisions.
