A Day in the Life
As part of the International Business Development team for Maybelline New York DMI, you will play a pivotal role in driving the brand’s global business growth strategy. Reporting to the Global DGA, you will monitor worldwide business results, identify wins and losses, and support the definition of growth priorities and business model guidelines. You will ensure execution excellence and consistency across zones, contributing to the consumer journey across all channels—online and offline.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Analysis & Strategy: Partner with finance to monitor worldwide sell-in, sell-through, and other KPIs. Identify challenges and opportunities and synthesize growth opportunities across geographies, categories, channels, and consumer targets.
- Zone Collaboration: Act as the “zone of the zone” at DMI level, liaising with zones and driving countries to optimize business results, including new product launches, pillar growth, O+O strategies, pricing, and logistics.
- Market Communication: Facilitate bi-weekly calls with DGA and zones to address business challenges, align on go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities. Communicate local market initiatives to DMI and ensure alignment before activation.
- Consumer Experience: Collaborate with RD and eCommerce teams to ensure relevant consumer experiences across international planograms and assortments.
- Brand Guidelines: Manage global brand guidelines, including assortment vision, pricing recommendations, and discontinuations, ensuring consistent brand positioning across zones.
- Training & Workshops: Plan global brand trainings and workshops for new markets and key stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Integrate and influence cross-functional teams to address strategic business challenges.
We Are Looking For
You’re a great match for this role if you have:
- Experience: 7+ years in marketing and/or business development, with prior operational marketing experience in key markets or zones.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Global Expertise: Proven knowledge of global cultural nuances and business insight into the mass market and/or makeup market.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders.
- Organizational and project management expertise.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach.
- Languages: Fluency in English required; additional language fluency is a plus.
- Flexibility: Ability to travel up to 10% based on business needs.
