DDX Team mission is to harness the largest beauty dataset to build scaled data capabilities that enable our brands to create meaningful connections with consumers and professionals across all digital touchpoints at the speed of culture.
What You Will Do:
The Director, Customer Data Platforms & Consumer Data Hub is a key role responsible of transforming consumer data into a competitive advantage. This person will contribute to strategy definition and own the roadmap of our new unified engagement consumer ecosystem — including the Customer Data Layer Hub on Databricks and the Customer Data Platform (CDP) powered by Hightouch - to enable personalized, measurable and efficient consumer engagement across all our beauty brands.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing, data and technology, ensuring that first party data is activated across the consumer journey to drive acquisition efficiency, increase engagement & retention and unlock cross-brand synergies.
This role is critical to enabling unified consumer understanding, powering omnichannel marketing, and ensuring compliance with Global data governance standards.
The Director will serve as the business product manager, translating enterprise data vision into actionable, business-driven capabilities that maximize value creation from first party and 3rd party data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Ownership & Strategy
- Support his AVP to define manage the end-to-end product strategy for the Customer Data Hub (Databricks) and the Customer Data Platform (Hightouch).
- Act as the voice of the business for both platforms, ensuring the alignment of platform capabilities with divisions objectives such as consumer acquisition, audience creation, personalization, retention and loyalty.
- Own the Consumer Data model and establish a clear vision for consumer data unification, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility across brands and touchpoints.
- Build and maintain Data Hub and CDP roadmap focused on use cases that generate business value (growth and ops efficiencies), leveraging new capabilities released by platform vendors, along with the divisions’ stakeholders.
- Partners with Consumer data strategy, Analytics teams and Divisions to ensure that consumer data fuels insights, optimization and measurement
2. Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholders Management
- Partner with all stakeholders across CDMO, Divisions, IT, and Privacy to align platform capabilities with business and technical requirements.
- Leads cross-functional products committee ensuring prioritization of platform enhancements based on business impact and resource feasibility.
- Serve as a key liaison between business and technical teams, translating marketing needs into functional specifications for engineers and data architects.
- Facilitate strong collaboration with change management team to ensure effective brands onboarding and use of the CDP new features.
- Collaborate with IT to manage vendors, ensure uptime, optimize ROI, and implement enhancements.
3. Data Governance & Compliance
- Implement and enforce consumer data governance standards across brands, ensuring alignment with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Partner with Legal and Data Privacy teams to manage data consent frameworks and ensure compliant data activation.
- Promote a culture of responsible data use and transparency across marketing teams.
4. Business Enablement & Value Delivery
- Evangelize data-driven marketing within the organization by contributing to development of training and enablement programs for brand and campaign teams.
- Measure and communicate the business impact of the CDP and data hub initiatives — such as consumer lifetime value improvement, personalization effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
- Continuously identify new use cases and tech opportunities to leverage consumer data for growth, retention, and innovation across brands.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Data Analytics required.
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, CRM, or data product management roles — ideally within beauty, luxury, or CPG industries.
- 5+ years in product ownership or product management of marketing data platforms (CDP, DMP, data lake, CRM systems, etc.).
- Proven experience managing cross-functional programs involving both IT and business stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of consumer engagement ecosystems, including personalization, loyalty, CRM, and performance media activation.
- Hands-on familiarity with Databricks, Hightouch, or comparable platforms (Segment, Tealium, Treasure Data, mParticle).
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of data architecture concepts — identity resolution, data ingestion, segmentation, and activation pipelines.
- Knowledge of marketing and advertising technology stacks (Salesforce, Braze, Adobe, Meta, Google Ads, etc.).
- Experience managing API integrations, data flows, and data model design for marketing use cases.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into actionable insights for marketing and business teams.

- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:
- Salary Range: $138,500 – 200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
