In the department of Color Science, we are looking for a Color Scientist.

Job Description : 
We are seeking for a color scientist to work in the exciting field of color science in the cosmetic area.  This person will join the Color Science team and work cross functionally with the makeup labs, hair color labs, skin care labs, evaluation teams, augmented beauty métier, digital teams, global marketing. He or she will be leading various color projects in the areas of color measurement techniques, color data acquisition, correlation between measurement data and perceptions, consumer color preferences with the consideration of color appearance effects and color management.

What we are looking for :
 

Required :

  • PhD or Master’s Degree in color science
  • Solid understanding of colorimetry, color appearance, psychophysics and color management systems
  • Thorough understanding of color measurement and various color measurement instruments 
  • Proficient in data analysis.
  • Proven computer programming skills and efficient with software packages (Python, C/C++, matlab, R, SAS, Excel, etc)
  • Proficient with various forms of artificial intelligence
  • Good understanding of color pigments and raw materials technologies.
  • Independent thinking and problem-solving skills  
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and precision in techniques
  • Team Spirit 
  • Cross-functional leadership   
  • Good communication and presentation skills   
  • Must be self-driven and passionate for the beauty industry

Preferred : 
  • Good knowledge of makeup trends and competitor insight as it relates to color to understand how and where to drive the brand.
  • Understand color in a technical way while being able to relate to consumers and understand trends of color.
