Mission: Lead L’Oréal Vietnam’s Corporate Data & Analytics function. Define the data vision, build scalable platforms, and deliver trusted insights that elevate decision-making across corporate domains (Commercial, Marketing, Market Research, Social, Digital, Supply Chain. Finance).

You will run data as a product and as a business, balancing near-term value with long-term capability building.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Data Strategy & Visionary Leadership

  • Define and Champion Data Vision: Articulate and evangelize a compelling data vision and strategy for the Zone, ensuring seamless alignment with global L'Oréal Group data directives. This vision will empower data-driven decision-making across all levels, from operational efficiency to strategic market leadership.
  • Drive Data Transformation: Spearhead and oversee large-scale data transformation projects, encompassing advanced data management, cutting-edge analytics capabilities, and the integration of emerging data technologies to unlock new business opportunities.
  • Establish Data & Analytics Governance: Design, implement, and manage a robust Data & Analytics Office, setting clear standards for data governance, quality, security, and ethical use to build trust and ensure compliance.
  • Cultivate a Data-Driven Culture: Act as a catalyst for data acculturation across the organization. This includes developing comprehensive upskilling programs, defining best practices for data utilization, and establishing communities of practice to foster collaboration and continuous learning among data professionals and business users alike.

II. Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Build Robust Data Foundations: Ensure the underlying data infrastructure and foundational data assets are resilient, scalable, and of impeccable quality to meet evolving analytical demands and enable sophisticated insights. Proactively assess data feasibility and address quality gaps within local data sources.
  • Optimize Analytics Product Adoption: Drive the successful adoption and integration of analytical products and platforms developed by both Global and Zone Data Teams, maximizing their value for business stakeholders.
  • Strategic Analytics Portfolio Management: Manage and optimize the analytics portfolio, streamlining reporting structures. Prioritize the use of corporate-approved reports and establish rigorous validation processes for all locally developed analytical solutions to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Empower Local Insight Generation: Facilitate and prioritize the generation of ad-hoc and "last-mile" analyses requested by country teams, overseeing the entire pipeline from demand intake to insight delivery, ensuring relevance and timeliness.
  • Strategic Demand & Value Prioritization: Consolidate and manage demand for data and analytics initiatives, applying a rigorous prioritization framework based on potential business value, data readiness, and strategic impact.
  • Foster Zone Collaboration: Ensure tight collaboration with the broader Zone data team, aligning all local initiatives with overarching Zone priorities to prevent duplication of effort and maximize collective impact.

  • Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management: Prominent and persuasive communication skills, with a proven track record of engaging, influencing, and managing C-level stakeholders and diverse business leaders.
  • Inspiring Leadership: Strong leadership capabilities to build, mentor, and manage large, multidisciplinary teams encompassing data scientists, data engineers, analysts, and governance specialists.
  • Results-Oriented Initiative: A proactive and driven individual with the ability to take initiative, lead complex cross-functional projects from inception to successful completion, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Change Management Expertise: Experience in driving organizational change, fostering adoption of new technologies and ways of working within a large, dynamic enterprise.
