The Mission:
The Clinical Department team in Advanced Research is responsible for conducting upstream clinical projects to support the different research axis within the scope of skin, hair and scalp, and enhance the knowledge about biological mechanisms. Within this broad domain, the team is involved in multi-disciplinary research across various fields and works very closely with the Hair and Scalp Knowledge Department in Singapore and also external partners possessing diverse research expertise.
The goal of the Advanced Research is to identify innovative concepts for development of novel cosmetic, dermatology and consumer care products.
The successful candidate for this position should be experienced in handling in vivo or ex vivo experimental research and should also possess skills for project management. Experience with clinical evaluations would be a certain asset for this position.
The candidate is expected to set up and follow relevant clinical studies in link with scalp and hair projects, collect clinical samples, follow their processing, and analyze the generated data with an aim to decipher specific biological pathways and actives efficiency on them.
Selected candidate would report to the Clinical team based in China and also locally to Head of L’Oréal Singapore.
A first 1 to 2 months integration period could be in France, working closely with clinical team for training on innovative clinical evaluations methods (scoring, samplings, biophysics and imaging systems), followed by leading projects in Singapore. Business trips outside Singapore could be expected.
The candidate is expected to be a team player with an active interest in carrying out inter-disciplinary research, particularly at the interface of clinical, instrumental, biochemical analysis and microbiology.
- Education level: Master 2, PhD, or Engineer school or Pharmacist or Medical Doctor
- Experience level: Recent graduate
- Languages required: English (fluent)
- Eligible for a VIE contract
- Strong academic credentials in biological or biochemical sciences.
- Have a training record in biological/biochemical analysis.
- Active interest in inter-disciplinary research work and in clinical evaluations.
- Ability to integrate different disciplinaries from in vitro to in vivo.
