Are you a passionate and driven Master's student eager to make a real impact in the world of beauty and science? L'Oréal's Research & Innovation Microbiome team in Copenhagen is seeking a talented student assistant for a part-time position (approximately 15–20 hours per week). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to pioneering research and gain invaluable hands-on experience at the forefront of cosmetic innovation.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• ELISA Optimization & Implementation: Establishing, optimizing, and validating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for high-throughput assays, such as ELISA, specifically focusing on screening cytokines and other immunity biomarkers.
• Immune Potentiation Screening: Screening libraries of probiotics and raw materials (RM) to assess their immune-stimulating capacities.
• Cell Culture Maintenance: Gaining hands-on experience with cell culture techniques, including the maintenance of Caco2 cells.
• Data Analysis & Presentation: Analyzing experimental data, interpreting results, and presenting your findings clearly to the research team.
• Robotics Integration: Integrating, optimizing, and validating programs for liquid handling robots, and establishing SOPs for standardized high-throughput assays in collaboration with senior research engineers.
• General Lab Duties: Actively participating in daily general lab work, including restocking, buffer and plate production, and maintaining lab cleanliness.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in the 1st year of a Master's program in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a closely related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Basic laboratory experience and foundational knowledge in microbiology and/or cell culture techniques.
• Basic understanding of statistics for data analysis.
• Proficiency in scientific English, both written and verbal.
• An organized approach with a good sense of project management.

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus, But Not Required):

• Previous experience with maintaining cell cultures.
• Prior experience with ELISA techniques.
• Prior experience with liquid handling machines.
