Position Overview
At L'Oréal Luxe, we curate the world's most prestigious beauty brands (including Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Kiehl's, and Prada). We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented, and highly creative Marketing Assistant to join our Luxe Division in South Africa.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in bringing our luxury brand strategies to life. You will support the marketing team in executing 360-degree campaigns, managing day-to-day brand operations, analyzing market trends, and ensuring our luxury consumers receive an unparalleled brand experience across all touchpoints. This is an exceptional entry-to-mid-level opportunity for an aspiring marketer to immerse themselves in the fast-paced world of luxury beauty.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Activation & Campaign Support
- Collaborate closely with the Brand Manager to execute, and monitor product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, POS (Point of Sale) tools, and merchandising assets in line with international brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with creative, media, and PR agencies to ensure the timely delivery of promotional assets and campaign components.
- Support the retail and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of animations and animations calendar in-store.
2. Digital & Social Media Management
- Assist in supporting the brand's digital presence by assisting in the coordination of social media content calendars and assets, influencer campaigns briefing and content
- Assist with monitoring online brand presentation on retailer e-commerce platforms to ensure luxury brand consistency and updated product descriptions.
4. Administrative & Operational Excellence
- Assist with the brand's operational logistics, including stock for testers, samples, and promotional materials (GWP - Gift With Purchase).
- Coordinate shipping, customs clearances, and delivery of promotional items for PR events and influencer mailers.
- Maintain organized digital brand folders containing product assets, campaign imagery, press releases, and global brand books.
5. PR, Influencer & Event Coordination
- Assist with supporting the execution of PR launches, influencer seeding initiatives, and consumer-facing luxury events.
- Manage the assembly and dispatch of influencer gifting boxes, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and luxury packaging standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador during internal and external events, assisting with setup, guest lists, and post-event follow-ups.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Higher Education mandatory
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Understanding of basic marketing principles, social media platforms, and e-commerce trends.
