The L’Oreal Academies mission is to serve as a next generation hub, a multi-branded creative epicenter for beauty professionals to connect, set new standards in education, inspiration, and artistry. The Academy in New York is also the new home to the iconic Redken Exchange.

What You Will Learn: Academy Content and Community Mgr of L'Oréal Academies is a dynamic role leading the Academy & Redken Exchange social channels and driving overall marketing efforts. The role is focused on driving awareness of the Academy and programming, creating promotional materials to increase ticket sales and occupancy and generating /sourcing content to raise awareness and create a community on social media.

 

Strategic Marketing and Promotion:

  • Strategic Marketing Plan Development & Execution: This core responsibility involves creating comprehensive marketing strategies to elevate the academies' profile and drive ticket sales. Collaborating with cross functional partners to execute across Digital, Brand Education, US Creative and SalonCentric teams.
  • Promotional Activities Across Channels: The Marketing Manager oversees all promotional activities across various channels, SC.com, social media, email marketing, print materials, and potential public relations. This demands versatility and expertise in managing multi-channel campaigns.
  • Promotional Asset Development: Creating a wide range of promotional materials, from flyers and brochures to social content including still, video & paid media, requires strong project management and creative execution skills.
  • Social Media Strategy: Developing and executing a social media strategy for L’Oreal Academy and Redken Exchange as key social platform lead. Building the content strategy, sourcing or creating content and executing plans in platforms to maximize awareness of programs and increase ticket sales. This includes identifying key themes, optimizing posting schedules, tracking performance metrics, content creation, community engagement, and social listening to understand audience preferences.
  • KPI Tracking and Reporting: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ticket sales& promotions and providing monthly recaps with actionable insights demonstrates accountability and data-driven decision-making.


This Academy Content and Community Manager role requires a highly organized, creative, and data-driven individual with excellent communication and project management skills. Success in this position hinges on the ability to develop and execute effective marketing strategies that drive awareness, increase ticket sales, and ultimately contribute to the profitability of the L'Oréal Academies.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education Requirements - Degrees/Certifications-Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within the beauty or salon industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital education or content strategies.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and influencer marketing.
  • Strong understanding of the Beauty Industry
  • Technical Skills(i.e., SAP, MS Office, etc.) Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
  • List Physical Requirements of the Role (i.e., sitting, standing, twisting, bending, physical in-office presence) Sitting, standing, bending, moving and setting up fixtures & tools, lifting of product boxes. 
  • Project management, strong logistical skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Some flexibility in work schedule, nights and weekends depending on Academy schedule & content needed to be gathered. 
  • Ability to Travel to the West Coast Academy- Quarterly. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant Industry Certifications – Cosmetology License preferred but not required

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $140,200.00 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
