JOB PROFILE:

We are looking for passionate, creative, and digitally native junior designers fresh out of university to join the CPD team. This internship is designed for emerging creatives who are excited by fast-paced content creation, social media culture, beauty branding, and the future of AI-powered creativity.

The role will support multiple beauty brands across digital campaigns, e-commerce, content, and retail media executions. Interns will work closely with digital, content, and media teams to help bring campaigns to life across a wide range of platforms and formats.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:

•    Adapting and resizing campaign assets across digital platforms

•    Creating static artwork for e-commerce, paid media, CRM, and websites

•    Designing social media content for TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and YouTube

•    Assisting with animated content, reels, motion graphics, and short-form edits

•    Supporting billboard, retail media, and promotional creative rollouts

•    Reworking and localizing global campaign assets for the South African market

•    Assisting with content production for always-on and campaign bursts

•    Creating quick-turnaround creative for trend-based and reactive content

•    Adapting advocacy-led content and merging it with brand assets for media amplification

•    Exploring AI tools and workflows to improve creative speed and efficiency

•    Maintaining brand consistency while adapting content across multiple formats

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

•    Strong passion for design, digital culture, beauty, social media, and creativity

•    High willingness to learn, experiment, and adapt quickly

•    Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

•    Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and openness to feedback

•    Curiosity around AI-generated content and future creative technologies

•    Ability to manage multiple creative tasks and deadlines simultaneously

•    Understanding of platform-native content and current digital trends

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Graphic Design Degree 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Experience or familiarity with:

•    Adobe Photoshop

•    Adobe Illustrator

•    Adobe InDesign

•    Adobe After Effects

•    Canva

•    Basic video editing and motion design skills are advantageous

•    Understanding of social media formats, dimensions, and best practices

•    Video and static technical skills

•    AI proficiency 

•    Specializing in print and multimedia 

NICE TO HAVE:

•    Portfolio showcasing social media, branding, motion, or digital design work

•    Experience creating TikTok or Instagram content

•    Interest in AI creative tools and emerging digital trends

•    Photography, illustration, animation, or video editing skills
