Context & Operating Model

As Head of E-Commerce Acceleration for our Professional Products Division, you sit at the Zone and you are the strategic architect of e-commerce growth across our Southeast Asian markets for newly launched brands, owning direction, standards while empowering local country teams to execute with precision and market relevance.

Mission

Drive sustainable, double-digit GMV growth across Shopee, TikTok Shop (TTS), and Lazada for newly launch brands by leading the Zone's e-commerce strategy while enabling local country teams and agencies to deliver best-in-class execution. You bridge brand, commercial, and supply chain functions to make L'Oréal the most visible and best-converting beauty brand across SEA's digital shelves.

 Core Responsibilities

1. Zone Strategy & P&L Governance 

  • Commercial Roadmap: Define the annual e-commerce business plan, identifying key growth levers (new platform launches, portfolio expansion, or cross-border opportunities).
  • Budget co-ownership: Manage the e-commerce P&L, optimizing the "Transactional Media"  and Promotional investment (Retail Media, Search, Promo) to ensure a high ROAS and ROI
  • co-lead Regional JBPs with platforms (Shopee, TTS, Lazada) at Zone level
  • Set KPI targets and brand standards cascaded to all country teams 

2. Building Blocks by Platform 

  • Craft platform-specific growth strategies (Shopee & TTS & Lazada build-up) based on past learnings and platform dynamics
  • Define platform GMV split and phasing with strong market cooperation.
  • Develop cascading building blocks by market, ensuring Zone direction is locally adapted without compromising brand consistency
  • Promotional Strategy: Design and execute high-impact promotional calendars, including exclusive bundles, sampling strategies, and CRM-driven loyalty rewards.

3. Branded Content & Transaction Media

  • Co-own SIS, PDPs, branded content quality execution together with OBMs across all platforms, ensuring Perfect Store execution
  • Oversee daily transaction media execution and campaign performance in collaboration with country teams and brand teams  

4. E-commerce Performance Management and Building Blocks

  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs (GMV, Traffic, Conversion)
  • Define Zone affiliate content strategy: keywords, narratives, open plans, and commission guidance
  • Own the Affiliate Playbook at Zone level and monitor Affiliate performance (# of affiliate, GMV per affiliate, GMV per video, CR)
  • Responsible for the productivity of LS. (MGV, GPM, GMV/HR)
  • Facilitate Monthly Zone-Country Brand & Controllers Review structured performance steering with P&L co-accountability
  • Bi-weekly Review with countries: Platform building blocks, branded content, transaction media, affiliate, livestreaming
  • Monthly Review with countries: Zone-Country P&L, RGM, Brand & Controllers alignment

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Platform Mastery: Deep knowledge of SEA e-commerce ecosystem. Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada marketplace algorithms and seller center tools
  • Analytics: Proficiency in platform analytics (Brand Portal, Seller Center, PowerBI) and Retail Media (Shopee Ads, TTS Ads)
  • Search & Media: Understanding of Retail Media (AMS, Shopee Ads) and SEO/SEM principles.
  • Familiarity with RACI-based operating models and cross-functional governance in matrix organizations

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Influence & Collaboration: Ability to persuade internal stakeholders and external partners to prioritize e-commerce initiatives and to set strategic guardrails while maintaining collaborative country relationships
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable with the "test-and-learn" culture, ambiguity, and rapid platform changes
  • Consumer-centric thinking: passion for beauty and understanding of how SEA consumers discover and purchase online
  • Strong stakeholder management: platforms, local agencies, brand GMs, supply chain, and regional controllers
