A Day in the Life
As a Junior HR Cost Controller based in our Milan office, you will be a key player supporting both our Human Resources and Finance teams. This role is central to monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on our personnel costs, providing the insights that help our leaders make strategic decisions about our most valuable asset: our people.
You will be responsible for:
- Budget & Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of the annual HR budget and periodic financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Financial Closing: Supporting the monthly closing process by managing payroll accruals, ensuring all costs are correctly reflected in our accounts.
- Analysis & Monitoring: Proactively tracking actual personnel costs against budgets, identifying and explaining variances, and anticipating potential risks and opportunities.
- Reporting & Visualization: Producing monthly HR dashboards with key metrics and creating ad-hoc reports to support specific business cases for HR and Finance leadership.

- Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of controlling principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and thoroughness in managing financial data and ensuring its integrity across various systems.
- Systems Proficiency: Strong command of Excel is essential, and an aptitude for learning and optimizing systems like SAP is highly valued.
- Effective Communication: The ability to clearly present financial information and data-driven stories to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
