POSITION TITLE: Director- Retail Education, Events & Artistry

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Retail Education, Events & Artistry Director is a vital role that creates, drives, oversees and ensures consistency in selling & service training, in store event strategy and artistry skills of the US regions. This role will drive retail education, retail events & selling & service content creation, leveraging artistry to provide service to Sales and Artistry Training. This role will be a critical partner to the Field Sales team ensuring Urban Decay has superior training, service & artistry technique to achieve retail objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive field service & selling training and content to support brand objectives & sales KPI’s
- Develop and maintain a strategy for the future of Retail Education, Retail Events & Artistry within Urban Decay
- Owns the US retail education & retail event strategy and execution. Defines measurable objectives behind Platforms- Artistry, Retail Education, and Retail Events. Identify National business opportunities, oversees National retail event strategy and execution, and leads post event ROI analysis.
- Strategizes with AVP, Field Sales & Education on needs & field activations for education & events
- Owns consistency in brand service, selling & artistry technique
- Owns the education development of the field team
- Owns consistency in brand retail event strategy
- Responsible for event retail sales evolution year over year
- Oversees GWP budget management, ordering and follow up
- Owns Master Class Program and roll out. Partnering with Marketing Education & Events Director to order specialized collateral.
- Exceptional artistry, special occasions, photo shoot & media.
- Responsible for the Urban Decay Artistry & Event Certification program
- Partners with internal cross-functional team to drive brand strategy
- Coordinate, prep & facilitate internal trainings for individual development needs (field)
- Self-motivated, results oriented, strategic & creative mindset, collaborative leadership with analytical approach to identifying opportunities and solutions
- Exceptional verbal & written communication, presentation, public speaking, & media skills
- Advanced knowledge and awareness of beauty industry
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Accounts, and Retail Partners to ensure Education & Event initiatives are maximized to impact B &M retail sales
- Track record of effective working relationships across levels: brand leadership, retailers, BAs, and clients
- Supports execution of National Sales Meetings
- Manages Retail Event & Education budget
- Expertise in computer programs – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Candidates must be based in Los Angeles County, preferable El Segundo area

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education/Experience/ Licenses or Certificates:
- 8 + years in retail or service industry
- Remarkable artistry experience with specialized training in makeup artistry
- 8+ years of Beauty or retail management, preferably with an artistry brand
- People first leader with excellent interpersonal communication & empathy skills
- Strong analytic, critical thinking skills and learning agility
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative, informative and fun ways to deliver training, artistry and educational information.
- Must possess strong judgment skills
- Experience with Microsoft Suite; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, One Note & Teams.
Valid driver’s license

Salary Range: 128k-175k base salary + bonus
