Account Merchandising Manager – Consumer Products Division (Walmart)

Reports To: Walmart – VP Cosmetics and Skin

Location: Bentonville, AR

 

MISSION:

  • Primary support to L’Oreal CPD Account Directors for all in store merchandising needs.  Full ownership of cosmetics and nail modular process and supporting line review content.  
  • Ownership of sales fundamentals & building of selling stories for Cosmetic Brands - to gain share & space, grow units, & increase profitability with the customer.

 

MAIN TASKS:

  • SUPPORT NEW ITEM AND LINE REVIEW
  • Director owns meeting set up, AMM owns content and recommendation.
  • Provide mod analysis prep & documentation; Create Selling Story; Lead mod & graphic review discussions.
  • Analyze prelim A/D & A/S delete; highlight any areas where national vision may not align with WMT assortment & provide suggestions.
  • Provide account director w/ distribution projection & impacts to monthly forecast; build & send pipe to Supply Chain

 

  • COMPLETE OWNERSHIP OF THE MODULAR PROCESS, Develop cosmetics planogram strategy, optimizing for distribution, space to sales, and productivity.
  • MOD Drawing: Touchbase with SMSB / Marketing / Sales teams / Walmart; visual & financial analysis (total chain, trait, category, consumption, productivity), Creative SWF (Proofing & Execution)
  • RMM & Premium Relationship Modular execution & monthly follow ups through store audits
  • RTC Relationship graphic inventory maintenance; mod drawing follow ups
  • Timeline Management RTC / Creative / WSMO / Walmart
  • CapEx Budgets Ownership and maintenance

 

  • OVERALL BRAND STRATEGY, assist with analysis that will be assigned by the director or account lead.
  • Pre and Post Mod Analytics.  
  • ADD Tool Analytics
  • Lead CPD Analytics projects as needed, i.e. door behind glass

 

MAIN INTERFACES

  • Primary: Sales Team Directors, Brand Wall Merchandising, Walmart Merchants
  • Supply Chain, Finance, Category Development, Brand BAL Teams, RTC, Retail Team

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a business analysis/support role
  • Strong knowledge of retailer data/syndicated data
  • Proficient: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Preferred: Scintilla, Shopper Behavior, PowerBI, Nielsen
  • Proven knowledge of retailer strategies and objectives
  • Deep knowledge of beauty and personal care, specifically for given category
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with great accuracy
  • Can analyze and visualize data, draw conclusions and make strategic recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, takes initiative
