JOB DESCRIPTION

The AVP Sustainability will be responsible for developing and implementing the LDB USA vision, strategy, and roadmap for sustainability and social responsibility including the activation, change management, roll out, and monitoring. The role will involve driving the individual strategies for all brands, as well as engaging and upskilling all LDB USA leaders, brand employees and stakeholders.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-        Build and lead the long-term LDB USA Sustainability roadmap, including governance, strategy, and execution plan, in coordination with the North America’s CSO and Global Division’s CSO.

-     Identifies the key priorities, the goals and milestones, topic leaders, project teams, and resources needed to implement and execute roadmap. 

-     Facilitate strategic discussions, oversee project management, and foster high-touchpoint communication with the Division Mancom, cross-functional business partners and Zone CSO team.  

-     Build & enhance the conditions to achieve the LDB USA L4TF objectives (including 30 country KPIs across energy, waste, water, nature, communities etc.) by driving accountability, efficiency, best practice sharing and impact among key stakeholders

-     Partner with the brand leaders and DMI counterparts to help scale the priorities at brand level such as refills, no waste, net zero topics and brand causes.

-     Partner with the Zone CSO team to participate in, and drive projects that cross divisional and functional lines, such as Net Zero (i.e., decarbonization of digital media, transportation and logistics, POS/Promo materials etc.)  and Circular economy (i.e., sustainable and recyclable packaging). 

-     Engage key stakeholders and external NGO partners to drive actions consistent with our values to leverage and amplify our brand causes.

-     Ensure the right governance to activate and monitor progress, including the facilitation, preparation and attendance at relevant meetings (Business Reviews, ManCom, Town Halls, IMM, etc).

- Represent divisional sustainability strategy with retailers and other external partners. 

-     Provide ad-hoc research, data collection and analysis drafting as needed.

-     Continuously monitor and analyze sustainability trends, best practices, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the division.

-     Craft and communicate a clear, engaging, and authentic narrative around the division's sustainability journey, highlighting achievements, challenges, and ambitions to inspire internal and external stakeholders. 

-     Engage in industry-level dialogues and advocacy efforts to promote policy changes that support L'Oréal's sustainability commitments and contribute to a more sustainable beauty industry.

-     Drive employee engagement: educate, inspire, and incentivize to foster a culture of sustainability within the division. 

-     Work with Public Affairs, Media Engagement, Communications and Employee Engagement teams to ensure all local stakeholders are engaged on this topic.

 The role will be member of:

- The LDB Mancom led by the Division President.

- The Zone CSO Mancom led by the Chief Sustainability Officer, NA.

  • 10+ years of experience

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

Salary Range: $147K-$213K(The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
