What you will do?

This highly critical role entails the management of a $410M Advertising and Promotion budget for PPD brands, including but not limited to Media, Advocacy, Education, E-comm websites, Marketing and POS investments across all ten brands. In such capacity, this role directly supports the Chief Digital Officer of PPD, interacts closely with L’Oreal USA’s CDMO office and has strong collaborations with brand management teams. The role also involves leading key projects such as NEO adaptations or BETiq influence decisions made at L’Oreal USA level for A&P. This is a complex role in the financial management of PPD as it requires managing a sizeable budget for unique brands.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage A&P budget of $410M, which includes ten PPD brands, and identify key risks and opportunities in order to provide financial guidance to PPD CFO, through monthly presentation of results
  • Collaborate effectively with business partner such as PPD CDMO, Corporate CDMO Controller, SVP of PPD Education, in addition to brand Controllers to optimize spend, influence key decisions, while navigating the diverse needs and priorities
  • Lead discussions and alignment on Fuel Budgets across all PPD brands, encompassing Media, brand engagement, DDX, website costs, Education, Shows & Events, POS, merchandising materials sampling and prepacks
  • Lead the transition of a new A&P PPD specific planning tool to allow for easy comprehension and management of the A&P budget, while facilitating critical decision making
  • Drive the discussion of media plans with President of PPD brands and PPD CDMO and provide recommendations, to maximize the impact of such investments
  • Implement critical projects, such as BetIQ ROI analysis for Redken and Kerastase, influencer agency ROI and spend optimization; present key insights to influence investment allocations
  • Measure ROI in Education efforts, PPD brands and Education centers (Redken Academy and Prolab) to direct investments accordingly
  • Support, from a finance standpoint, the centralization and optimization of media management with the CDMO teams for future organization and structure
  • Manage Local Adaptations for A&P for the implementation of NEO and be an active voice with the project team to represent PPD divisional needs and specificities
  • Lead a team of six people and nurture young talent, through coaching and development, in order to improve ways of working and partnership with their own business partners
  • Mitigate risk to L’Oreal USA through compliance and adherence to the financial Norms

Salary range: $147K-213K
