About the Role: The Medical Communication Specialist - LDB plays a pivotal role in developing and executing effective medical communication strategies and content. This position is responsible for ensuring that scientific and medical information is accurately and compellingly conveyed across various channels to health professionals, aligning with brand priorities and fostering strong professional relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development & Strategy:
    • Develop comprehensive O+O (Online and Offline) medical communication content that is fully aligned with established brand priorities.
    • Support the deployment of a multi-channel medical strategy (both online and offline) in strict alignment with the overall brand strategy, including product plans, services, and market territories.
    • Conduct scientific and competitor monitoring within relevant medical areas, diligently processing and analyzing all acquired information, including panel insights and competitor analyses.
    • Craft compelling storytelling scenarios and define key messages and claims specifically adapted for health professionals.
    • Adapt content and communication tools to effectively reach target audiences across different touchpoints.
    • Create O+O content for a variety of tools and services, including sales visit aids, information leaflets for doctors and patients, medical training programs for doctors, websites, email campaigns, newsletters, videos, webinars, and communication materials for events such as congresses.
  • Scientific Expertise & Training:
    • Contribute to the circulation of scientific and medical expertise to other relevant departments within the organization.
    • Assist in training medical representatives to ensure they are well-equipped with the necessary scientific and product knowledge.
  • Local Market Engagement (for countries):
    • Contribute to the local implementation of international surveys and the establishment of local observational studies, ensuring their effective utilization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work in close synergy with marketing, medical detailing, distribution, external communications, and digital teams to guarantee the coherence and consistency of all medical messages.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in medical communications, scientific affairs, or a related field within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a health-related field such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, Nutrition, or other life sciences.
  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).
