We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trade Activation Manager to join our Lancôme team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing Wholesale O+O Retail & Trade activations that drive sales growth and elevate Lancôme’s presence across retail channels within Australia. Trade is a key strategic lever of the Lancôme business model, in collaboration with our Retail partners.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Drive the planning and execution of tailored channel activations, meticulously managing trade budgets for optimal ROI. Translate brand plans into winning retailer strategies using key market insights, partnering with product, commercial, and marketing teams to define and execute plans per retailer. Monitor and drive store performance and productivity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our Wholesales Retail Buyers and Retail Education Managers (REMs), leading retailer calls, preparing and delivering essential communications (e.g., monthly bulletins, campaign updates), and leading key retailer and strategy meetings.
  • Enhance the O+O shopper experience through engaging activations, generating compelling content and assets for brand animations.
  • Forecast, plan, and manage all Gift with Purchase (GWP) campaigns and PLV materials, including component selection, stock control, supply chain coordination, dispatch, and activation. Develop and maintain a comprehensive GWP/PLV calendar and tracker.
  • Lead the measurement, reporting, and analysis of all activation initiatives to maximize ROI, including sales results, market rankings and competitor analysis.
  • Drive the evolution of Lancôme's trade visual identity, leading the creation of compelling and modernised assets in collaboration with our VM team and creative partners. Strategically manage all co-op briefs and digital communications for retail channels, ensuring campaigns are brought to life with maximum impact and brand consistency
  • Manage the promo gifting and OCA budgets, including P&L considerations, monthly Budget actualization, phasing, and cuts.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • You excel at translating brand plans into winning retailer & trade strategies, leveraging market insights to collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, commercial, finance, RGM) to execute impactful trade promotions and activations.
  • You are skilled in Business Relationship Management, fostering strong partnerships with retailers and internal teams. You also nurture trusted relationships with Zone/DMI teams to align global plans with Australian market requirements.
  • You are adept at driving and monitoring store performance and productivity within retail channels. You lead the measurement, tracking, and reporting of activation initiatives to maximize efficiencies, drive ROI, and provide best-in-class monthly reports.
  • You create bespoke activations for retail channels, managing trade budgets for the highest ROI. This includes briefing Marketing & VM Teams, overseeing brand creative delivery, ensuring market share-winning plans, and developing comprehensive GWP & PLV plans. You also handle forecasting, ongoing management, and analysis of all trade tools inventory.
  • You possess an In-depth knowledge of sales levers, retailer activity plans and ROIs. This role is ideally suited for a dynamic individual with a strong commercial background interested broadening their marketing expertise, or a marketing professional eager to deepen their commercial acumen.
