Job Summary:

L'Oréal USA is seeking a Senior HR Data Analyst to serve as a hands-on analytics practitioner responsible for transforming complex workforce data into scalable and reproducible analytical solutions that drive decision-making across the HR organization. In this role, you will translate business needs into actionable insights through analytical and statistical approaches, and compelling dashboards to execute the full analytical lifecycle, from data extraction, preparation, and modeling through visualization, storytelling, and stakeholder delivery. HR Analytics is at the heart of transforming HR into a strategic business driver, directly contributing to the growth, agility, and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Partnership & Solution Development:

  • Translatestakeholder requirements into robust technical solutions, formalizing functionalrequirementsand delivering analytics productsthat meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Collaborate withHRExcellence team to ensure analytics outputsleveragehigh-quality, well-governed data.
  • Implement scalable analytical solutions that unlock actionablepeopleinsightsensuringreproducibility, maintainability, and long-term organizational value.
  • Execute analytics projects and workstreams—maintainingdocumentation, and deliverables in a structured, traceable manner to ensureanalytical quality.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders

Data Preparation, Analysis, & Modeling:

  • Extract, clean, and wrangle disparate datasets using SQLandPython/R, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reproducibility for downstream analytics.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) through scripted workflows to systematicallyidentifytrends, patterns, and anomalies within workforce data.
  • Apply Descriptive, Inferential, Exploratory, Predictive, and Causal statistical techniques through reusable, well-documented code to answer critical HR questions and forecast future workforce trends.
  • Partneracross HR Data & Analytics team todevelop,validate, and test predictive modelsleveragingscripted pipelines that are scalableandmaintainable.
  • Manage analytical code using version control best practices,ensuring traceability, peer review readiness, and long-term reproducibility of analytical work.

Data Visualization & Business Intelligence:

  • Design, develop, and deploy compelling dashboards (PowerBI)with visualizationsthatprovideclear& actionableinsights into workforce dynamicsat scale.
  • Build andmaintainautomated, reusable reporting and self-service analytics tools that reduce manual effort, enable stakeholder exploration, and scale efficiently across the HR organization.
  • Address ad-hoc data needs byprogrammatically extracting and preparing datafrom the HR data platform orHRIS system, ensuring outputs are reproducible and well-documented. 
  • Support ongoing reporting needs bypreparing HR data for stakeholder consumption using scripted data preparation processes — ensuring all outputs areaccurate,timely, and compliant with data governance standards. 

Enablement & Adoption:

  • Drive adoption of Power BI dashboardsandself-service reporting tools by providingupskilling, user guidance, and documentation that empowers stakeholders to independently exploreandact on workforce data.
  • Develop andmaintainclear, well-structured documentation for analytical solutions-ensuring transparency, ease of adoption, and long-term sustainability of analytics assets across the team.
  • Measure and communicate the impact and adoption of HR analytics tools, dashboards, and predictive models-using data to tell the story of analytics value.
  • SupportHRteam as a data analytics subject matter expert and contribute to analytics projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degreein DataAnalytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering,Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • Progressive experience in data analysis,data science, or business intelligence roles.
  • Proven experience delivering complex, end-to-end analytics projects — from data preparation through modeling, visualization, and stakeholder communication.

Technical Skills:

  • Power BI —Advancedproficiencyin data visualization tools, specifically Power BI.Must be able to independently design, develop, and deploy reports and dashboards(required).
  • SQL— Must be able to write and run complex queriesfor data extraction, and analysis (required).
  • Python — Proficient programming experience with data profiling, scripted data transformation,dataanalysis, andstatistical modeling(required).
  • GIT —Proficiency in version control workflows- ability to navigate repositories, review pullrequests, andmanaginganalytical code and script repositories to ensure traceability and reproducibility.

         Knowledge, Abilities, & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities withabilityto translate business requirements intoscalableanalytical solutions.
  • Knowledge of and experience with statistical,predictive, and machine learninganalytics techniques (regression, clustering, forecasting,etc).
  • Ability to design andmaintainautomatedreporting workflows that scale efficiently across the organization.
  • Knowledge offoundationaldata warehousing conceptsandplatforms(SQL Server, Snowflake, GCP).
  • Experience with HR systems& data preferred(SuccessFactors, Workday).
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills-able to translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for diverseaudiences.
  • Strong collaboration abilities withdemonstratedsuccess in cross-functional partnerships.
  • Commitment to documentation, data accuracy, and analytical rigor — ensuring all work is transparent, auditable, and maintainable.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning mindset with enthusiasm for exploring data, adopting new tools, and pushing the boundaries of what analytics can deliver for the business.
