Within the Evaluation Intelligence department, Category Leaders play a crucial role in orchestrating comprehensive evaluation strategies across diverse scientific disciplines. They are responsible for seamlessly integrating evaluation intelligence sciences to assess product performance and the overall consumer experience.

 

We are looking for a Make-up Category Leader

This position will focus on Japan Development and Application Domain Face, Eye and Lip related projects.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Competitiveness Strategy: Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape for key make-up product pillars in the Japanese market. Propose and champion innovative strategies to strengthen and expand L'Oréal's market leadership.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate effectively with Make-Up métiers and Evaluation Intelligence teams (Clinical, Physics, Sensory, Consumer Insights, etc.) to develop detailed and integrated evaluation roadmaps. Establish clear priorities, define key milestones, and diligently track progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Category Leadership: Synthesize performance data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights. Develop and implement strategic action plans at both the project and category level, driving innovation and growth within the Make-Up category in Japan.
  • Experience Optimization: Deconstruct and consolidate existing knowledge related to sensory perception, instrumental analysis, consumer expectations, and satisfaction drivers. Leverage insights from cognitive science to co-create holistic and compelling innovation experiences that resonate with Japanese consumers.



To succeed in this position, you have:


  • A Master's degree or higher in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Cosmetics Science, Chemistry, Biology, Marketing Research) with proven experience in project management within the cosmetics or related industry. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams towards common goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with proficiency in both Japanese and English.
