A Day in the Life As the Transportation Category Manager for North America, you will report to the VP of Supply Chain & Manufacturing Sourcing and lead a team of two direct reports. Your mission is to develop and implement world-class sourcing strategies for our $300M+ transportation spend, driving value and innovation across our manufacturing, supply chain, and retail operations in the US and Canada.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Develop Category Strategy: Proactively build and execute sourcing strategies for the transportation category that maximize competitiveness, quality, and service, while identifying and leveraging synergies between the US and Canada markets.
  • Lead Strategic Sourcing: Manage transversal initiatives and contract negotiations, developing a deep understanding of the market to build strong partnerships that deliver optimal value for L'Oréal.
  • Drive Innovation and Sustainability: Identify and implement disruptive technologies and innovative sustainable solutions from carriers to contribute to our “L’Oréal for the Future” carbon reduction goals.
  • Manage Performance & Analytics: Oversee category spend analytics and financial reporting, using data-driven insights to manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.

 

What We Are Looking For An ideal candidate for this role is an ambitious and results-focused leader with a strategic mindset. You have a proven ability to influence stakeholders and deliver on complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • You are an experienced professional with a degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • You possess strong project management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • You demonstrate excellent leadership and can guide cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • You are autonomous, with a high level of drive and energy.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
