Director, Commercial Finance Cerave and La Roche Posay

What You Will Do:

Brand Commercial Finance lead for Cerave and La Roche Posay managing the two biggest brands in the LDB portfolio, overseeing $1.5B+ in net sales, and a key member of both the Sales and Finance organization.   This role helps to set the brand’s customer frame and is responsible for gross to net sales management involving budgets, trends, and actuals reporting as well as the holistic impact of customer performance to the broader brand results.  This role reports into the AVP of Commercial Finance.

 

 

Position Accountabilities:

  • Weekly compilation of brands’ net sales estimates with understanding of all aspects of gross to net inclusive of drivers of risk or opportunity and impact of customer mix changes. 
  • Management of gross to net R&O on an ongoing basis to help inform Trend submissions.  Partner with business and account controllers on action plans to mitigate risk.
  • Actively participate in the monthly brand consensus forecast cycle in partnership with demand planning and the business cross functional teams.  Point person for Demand Planning on all budget/trend and gross to net inquiries and analyses.
  • Provide to cross functional business partners detailed analysis and commentary on performance results and variances to financial commitments for both month end, Trends and Budgets.  This includes gross to net P&L results, sell in/sell out, valorization (SGA) and risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with brand finance on national gross to net assumptions for P&L scenario planning, whether trends, national kit offerings, new product launches, price increases or new distribution opportunities.
  • Play financial role in annual target setting process with emphasis on brand and customer sell in/sell out and allocation of funds.
  • Compilation of accurate budget/trends in Compass for total brand (PLP) and all other customers for (PLC).
  • Partner with account controllers and head of sales for Cerave Hair to ensure total category gross to net is in line with financial commitments.  Align on risk mitigation plan if required.
  • Partner with marketing on National Coupon budgets, ensure spend tracking in line with financial commitments.
  • Ad-hoc analyses and system support as needed.

 

Education/Experience: 

  • 8-10 years of experience in finance preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA/CPA preferred.
  • Consumer products industry experience preferred. 

 

 Skills:

  • Strong computer skills required; must have expert-level experience with Excel and Word.
  • Financial reporting experience and use of SAP, Hyperion, Oracle or similar GL systems highly desirable.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, business acumen, leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management.
