Job Responsibilities:

Demand Planning:

  • Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts for a defined portfolio of products, using statistical forecasting methods, historical data, market trends, and business intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to gather and incorporate market intelligence, promotional plans, and new product launch information into demand forecasts.
  • Analyze historical sales data, identify trends, seasonality, and demand drivers, and use this analysis to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze forecast variances, identify root causes for deviations, and implement corrective actions to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Generate regular demand reports for management and stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations.

Supply Planning:

  • Develop and maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple locations (warehouses, distribution centers) while considering demand forecasts, lead times, safety stock requirements, and storage capacity.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of materials and finished goods, considering production lead times, order minimums, and transportation constraints.
  • Track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and identify potential stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, reduce obsolescence, and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with production planning teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts and optimize production capacity.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on demand and supply plans.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding forecast updates, potential risks or opportunities, and any changes in demand or supply plans.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential supply chain disruptions, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes, providing valuable insights and contributing to overall business planning decisions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • [3 to 5 years] of relevant experience in demand planning, supply planning, or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in statistical forecasting methods, demand planning tools, and inventory management techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
