Join our Compliance and Regulation department as Competition Legal Counsel, under the supervision of the Competition Associate General Counsel, and be part of our work to unlock value and drive transformation.
Here’s how you will have a role to play in this team:
- Provide expert guidance on all facets of merger control, Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) proceedings, and coordinating the preparation of filings
- Drive the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Group's competition law compliance program, proactively developing and updating guidelines and indispensable tools
- Deliver day-to-day legal advice to our diverse internal legal and business teams (Divisions, Zones, countries) on a wide array of competition law issues, including distribution, Research & Innovation (R&I), and operational matters. Collaboration with different teams to ensure a unified and high-level compliance within the Group
- Coordinate responses to questionnaires from competition authorities
- Actively participate in L'Oréal’s global competition law community, sharing information and innovative tools to the local legal teams worldwide
- Contribute to advocacy activities, engaging in public consultations and legislative discussions that shape the future of competition law
- Offer support to internal audit teams throughout all phases of their missions – before, during, and after – ensuring robust legal oversight
- Handle competition law investigations and follow-on damages claims, in collaboration with the relevant internal legal teams and with external counsels and economic consultants
The skills that you will need to make an impact:
- Master’s degree with a strong focus on competition law, and/or business school diploma and/or LLM
- Full Time experience (e.g. 2 to 4 years) in competition law in a law firm, in a competition authority, or as in-house counsel
- Experience abroad and/or in economics will be highly valued
- Team spirit, communication and adaptability to work collaboratively and independently within a multinational organization
- Fluent in English and French
