Chief Marketing Officer, L'Oréal Luxe

Reports to: General Manager LUXE SA and SSA

Location: Woodmead

Are you a visionary marketing leader with a passion for luxury beauty and a deep understanding of the consumer journey?

L’Oréal is searching for a strategic and innovative Chief Marketing Officer to join our dynamic Luxe Division. In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate seamless and captivating consumer experiences across all touchpoints, driving brand love, engagement, and ultimately, market leadership.  You will be responsible for leading a large proportion of the business through 4 teams: Retail, Education, Retail Design & Digital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Omnichannel Experience Architect:
    • Define and implement a 360° luxury consumer journey strategy across all online and offline touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive and elevated brand experience.
    • Frame each touchpoint (media, CRM, retail, online platforms, advocacy & influence) to optimize consumer engagement, maximize ROI, and drive conversion.
    • Partner with the Brand Teams to develop and execute locally relevant marketing campaigns across the portfolio of brands.
    • Adapt global and zone strategic frame for consumer online and offline engagement strategies to the local market, personalizing experiences for maximum impact.
  • Data-Driven Performance & Measurement:
    • Establish a robust data framework with common KPIs to rigorously track and measure marketing performance.
    • Leverage data and analytics to gain deep consumer insights, understand campaign effectiveness, personalize marketing efforts, and continuously refine strategies for optimal results.
  • Retail Excellence & Shoppercentricity:
    • Lead the Retail Design & Online shopper excellence team to ensure outstanding, consistent retail excellence for our brands on and off line.
    • Lead the Retail and Education teams to ensure brilliant customer experience in store through our Beauty Advisors.   Great collaboration with our retail partners is key to this.
  • Innovation & Digital Transformation:
    • Spearhead the adoption of innovative marketing technologies and digital platforms to reach target audiences effectively.
    • Explore and experiment with emerging channels and trends, such as influencer marketing, social commerce, and immersive brand experiences (AR/VR).
  • Brand Storytelling & Equity Building:
    • Craft compelling brand narratives that resonate with consumers on an emotional level, fostering strong brand affinity and loyalty.
    • Cultivate an environment of creativity and innovation with the brand teams to drive the development of disruptive services, and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire teams and navigate a matrix organization.  This role leads a team of approximately 25 people plus >100 BA’s in store.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within the luxury beauty or a related industry.
  • Business degree in marketing
  • Deep understanding of the luxury consumer, marketing strategies, and the evolving digital landscape.
  • Demonstrated success in building and executing high-impact marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data-driven decision-making and performance measurement.
  • Passion for innovation and a finger on the pulse of emerging marketing trends.
