The Artistic & Portfolio Manager is a crucial role for the Professional Products Division at L'Oréal UKI. You will be primarily responsible for driving and managing accounts within our portfolio, a group of top British & Irish Hairdressers recognised for their Artistic and Technical excellence in professional hairdressing.

As part of the Education and Professional Development team, The Artistic & Portfolio Manager role will report to the Head of Events and Portfolio for the Division, with strong ties to both the Education and Professional Development (EPD) team and L’Oréal Professionnel Paris (LPP) brand. The role works alongside Events, Communications, Brand and Education in the promotion and smooth running of artistic opportunities for salons and artists. This is a truly an all-round in-house position that will give the right candidate experience working with the key players in the hairdressing industry.

The 8-brand portfolio includes the likes of L’Oreal Professionnel, Kérastase, Redken and Matrix and the division is universally known for exclusively supplying salons and other professional customers with the most advanced technologies in hair and beauty products. 


A DAY IN THE LIFE

Purpose of the role:

Driving and managing accounts within our portfolio, a group of top British & Irish Hairdressers recognised for their Artistic and Technical excellence in professional hairdressing. Amplifying artistic PPD initiatives in order to build brand loyalty with the top Industry influencers, and to generate positive social, online and editorial coverage of all artistic activities across different media channels

You will:

•    Assume responsibility for driving, tracking and managing an artistic program of events and diverse activities exclusively built for our top artistic accounts.  This includes management of key sponsorship activities such as a long-standing partnership with Central Saint Martins & Graduate Fashion week, and managing prestigious client events such as congress events, exclusive product launches & corporate hospitality (as applicable)

•    Ensure cohesion and be main point of contact between Marketing, Education, Commercial, Comms & Events on all key account activities and identify, recommend and pitch which hairdresser or hair teams for each activity

    Be responsible for development and implementation of an integrated strategy within the division and brands working with the Head of Events and Portfolio and EPD GM

    Grow YOY coverage & social advocacy to ensure the division’s artists voices and influence are amplified for the mutual benefit of their development and to drive PPD’s B2B and B2C reputation. 

    Regular reporting of Social/Online reach and engagement figures along with coverage reporting to the Business

    Plan and develop the evolution of the Portfolio brand.

    Manage the professional relations with guest artists and top accounts

    Actively PR, track and monitor all initiatives with clear and quantifiable KPIs with a data driven mindset.

    Event management from inception to execution of high-profile events including for the most prestigious group of salons and artists for the division. 

    Budget management of events and projects.


WHO YOU ARE

The ideal candidate will have superb client management, communication skills and social media expertise. Trade media and/or PR experience with an awareness and strong understanding of the hairdressing Industry is preferable. 

    Strategy: ability to strategise the Artistic & Portfolio roadmap through performance analysis, always linking back to the PPD UKI Frame.

    Excellent communication skills:  ability to build genuine relationships at all levels, to actively listen, question and influence people in a constructive way.

    Organisational skills: ability to plan, co-ordinate and react quickly to changes, to prioritise, juggle multiple projects and manage your own workload.

    Attention to detail: ability to analyse a situation, to draw conclusions and communicate messages succinctly.

    Integrity and professionalism: to act as an ambassador for the division and to liaise with clients both proactively and reactively.

    Risk management:  risk awareness and the ability to build contingency into plans both from a logistical and a reputational point of view.

    PR & Comms expertise: account manager level experience in PR comms / client liaison experience.

•    You will need to have a collaborative, “can do” attitude including the practical, hands on application of PR and Events skills (mail outs, sending products, packing boxes etc)
