In the department of Advanced Research, we are looking for a scientist. The objective of this position is to the followings. 


As a scientist or senior scientist, your main responsibilities are : 
  • This position is for lab-based biological scientist, but requires exposure to downstream, consumer-facing aspects of the organization. The position has the following responsibilities:
  • Design and carry out biological experiments on skin cell and tissue models in alignment with L’Oréal’s scientific strategy
  • Manage standard evaluation assays, coordinate with key stakeholders to make sure the robust evaluation results delivered on time
  • Be able to understand upstream discoveries and transform knowledge into new evaluation models/methods and implement MOA studies. 
  • Work with downstream teams to understand their needs and design experimental strategies in line with their requirements 
  • Perform date analysis and write reports in both English and Chinese, ensure effective communication with stakeholders
  • Be able to offer scientific expertise to related biological-based projects as required.

You are : 
  • Ideally, the candidate should have:
  • A PhD or equivalent degree in life science or biomedical field, with solid fundamental research training. Or M.S with 2-3 years proven-track academic or bio-pharmaceutical industry working experience. 
  • Be proficient in cell biology and molecular biology with strong hands-on expertise and strong methodology development skills. Extensive experience in cell culture is essential with skin cell experience ideal. 
  • Familiar with current advancement and trend of technologies in cell biology and molecular biology.  
  • A passion for cosmetics and the cosmetics industry is extremely important
  • Good methodology development and hands-on problem solving skills are required.
  • Highly self-motivated and well organized. Multi-tasking capacity to manage several activities in parallel with respect to established schedules and deliverables.
  • Good written and verbal skills in both English and Mandarin.
