Overview

The Active Cosmetics Division (ACD) is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic marketing candidate to join the Amazon sales team responsible for the Amazon business in the U.S.

 

The role requires the ability to manage the strategic direction of a customer account for a leading Skincare brand. This includes accountability for the Amazon business and its success relies on working cross-functionally and executing programs across various digital media platforms to position the ACD brands as an ecommerce leader. Candidate must be outgoing, have strong analytical, writing and research skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage internal and external resources to successfully bring projects to life.

 

This position reports to the AVP, Amazon Sales.

 

Overall Business Responsibilities

 

  1. Business management:
    1. Manage purchase orders, forecasting, and delivery with Supply Chain (internal/external) & finance
    2. Retailer media management: search, programmatic in collaboration with Search team
    3. Proactively monitor site to raise & solve issues with Customer Experience team
    4. Ensure that on-site activity is consistent with brand goals
    5. Manage sales forecasts and investment plans, providing weekly/monthly/quarterly estimates on sales projections and plans
    6. Activates the right business drivers by tracking, analyzing and drawing conclusions from specific e-commerce KPIs (unique visitors, conversion rate, profit optimization)
    7. Create and maintain an online e-business plan: e-promotional calendar, product exclusivity, cross selling mechanisms
    8. Liaising with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to secure forecasts in line with channel plans and financial forecasts
    9. Oversee brand initiative go-to-market plans, on-time launches, and best in class Amazon/customer launch strategies
    10. Main point of contact between brand teams and Amazon Vendor Management teams responsible for customer relationship and negotiations
    11. Present business trajectory and highlight need gaps to brand and divisional leadership
    • Manage promotional funding in internal financial management system and flag gaps/increases to finance teams to ensure account profitability
    • Work closely with Operations teams to highlight drivers of chargebacks and develop action plans to reduce fines to drive account P&L
    1. Close collaboration with CDMO team and other divisional Amazon teams to share learnings and ensure a 'One L'Oreal' mentality is being considered when making account level decisions
  1. Analysis and reporting:
    1. Collaborate with team business intelligence analysts to guide development of reporting to support generating insights needed to lead and test new ideas to drive incremental revenue
    2. Analyze Amazon Retail Analytics (ARA) and run relevant reports and present findings
    3. Involvement in AMS/DSP planning process & ad-hoc analysis when required
    4. Leverage additional reporting resources such as Profitero, Slice, Clavis, etc. to generate new ideas for revenue growth

 

Overall Marketing Responsibilities

 

  1. Collaborate on best in class content creation & advice driven online merchandising of brands:
    1. Work with marketing closely on content creation (copy, videos, photography)
    2. Partner with Customer Experience team to ensure A+ content / images / copy are driving incremental conversions to hit sales targets
    3. Work with brand liaisons in the US and DMI to ensure alignment and that needs are met
  2. Support daily customer centric responsibilities:
    1. Monitor customer user generated content (reviews, Q&As) to ensure CX team is prioritizing the right SKUs and projects
    2. Work closely with marketing and sales to ensure  strategy is being executed and optimized
    3. Work on search optimization to ensure we are reaching the right customers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant experience working in Vendor Central
  • Beauty / skincare experience preferred, CPG experience required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a marketing / sales / digital role required
  • Account management background
  • Experience with Amazon 1P and customer negotiations
  • Strong understanding of the Digital Search / Media and Beauty Industry.
  • High proficiency in Excel/Tableau and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint programs.  Ability to create high impact presentations.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly in both oral and written forms.
  • Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for marketing and communications (advertising, digital marketing, pr, media).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed.
