Seeking an exceptional, experienced, and innovative Medical Communications and Relations Manager to manage the multichannel medical communication plan in Ireland in line with the medical strategy. This unique opportunity to work with the medical team at L'Oréal, with the objective of increasing recommendations by healthcare professionals (HCPs) and developing the scientific reputation of our brands and division across Ireland.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

This role is unique in offering exposure to the international medical brand strategy and medical key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Dermatology whilst providing the opportunity to develop Ireland specific medical strategy in reflection to the UKI medical vision.  You will work extensively with cross functional teams and lead the execution of the medical strategy supported by the medical field team and also work with KOLs, HCPs and Medical professionals with social presence. 


You will

    Be responsible for execution of the UKI Medical strategy in line with the brand and medical strategy and the international vision in the Irish market. 

    Be responsible for KOL development B2B2C and amplifying brand science

    Achieve Medical objectives and defined KPIs, included but not limited to:

- KOL Development / Targets

- Delivery of Ad-boards and KOL brand contracts B2B and B2B2C

- Brand representation and KOL Symposia impact at Congress

- Clinical Studies Development

- Partnerships and Collaborations with Professional bodies and Patient Associations

   Achieve reach and build of 50 target KOLs focussed on their endorsement and advocacy of the brand.

    Plan and deliver 1-3 Educational Symposia organisation and support congresses amplification.

    Develop 2 advisory boards, test new materials and campaigns to help define/achieve the Medical Strategy and L'Oreal Dermatological Beauty Strategic Framework

    Support development of communications to dermatologists, and other HCPs online and offline, new product updates, clinical data, congresses summary, awards available. Contribute to detail aids, leave pieces and training to the medical team at medical meetings and conference.

    Manage brands educational grants and schemes, local and international to make dermatology education more accessible.

    Identify and collaborate with Medical Communications team UKI on the development of new/current clinical trials and recruit dermatologists/research centres to participate.

    Organise the selection and validation of delegates to brand events and seek approval and travel arrangements required.

    Support whole medical team in achieving HCP growth and frequency reach, measure KPIs through reports such as Barometeres.

    Work with the Medical Relations and Communications team to define the annual pre-budget and budget for the following year.

    Support the medical communication team with winning medical claims.

    Present and contribute actively at zone-visits and create a commonly approved agenda.

    Develop a National Action Plan which clearly outlines the activities to be undertaken at National Level  in the brand Medical Relations Calendar


WHO YOU ARE

  Demonstrable experience desired in Pharmaceutical/Dermocosmetics industry in scientific, Medical sales or Medical Affairs/Liaison roles 

    Experience managing medical relations with national and international KOLs

    Proven success in developing KOLs for Symposium at Congresses

    Proven success in delivering large educational accredited medical events and advisory boards

    Desired experience in guidelines, clinical study design and protocol development

    Medical Sales background with proven track record in driving success - secondary care and key account management experience is desirable 

    Educated to degree level in science/ medical related subject or equivalent

    Confident in moderate/advance science/medicine ideally in Dermatology

    IT competent to use reporting systems, email and Microsoft Office e.g. excel based programmes for monitoring sales, investment return etc.

    Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), influencing / persuasiveness skills – pro- active - Excellent selling, negotiation and networking skills.

    ‘Can do’ attitude – someone who gets things done – able to work on own as well as in teams

    Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, pathway design and implementation and project management with external bodies i.e. commercial, medical, patient associations


NB. This role is field based and regular travel is expected within UKI, Europe, USA and other international travel


Full Driving Licence required
