As Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, you guarantee the implementation of the Group's EHS system and ensure the good functioning of facilities on all BNL sites HQ, DC (3PL) and Retail. You propose the guidelines, objectives and the annual Environment, health and safety program, in accordance with the ethics and rules of the L'Oréal Group, and the regulations in force.
 


What will I be responsible for?

In this position as Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, you will have multiple tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Provide all site departments with the services and infrastructure necessary for their proper functioning.
  • To be the coordinator and the guarantor of the correct application of the EHS Management System, and of the Safety and Environment certifications of the sites.
  • Advise and supervise decisions in the areas of expertise of Facilities and EHS coordinators / supervisors.
  • Maintain a safe environment for employees, buildings and site material assets by establishing security policies and procedures. Supervise the security guard force.
  • Provide EHS assistance and expertise to site operations staff
  • Collect, analyze and communicate the EHS performance of sites and propose improvement plans
  • Maintain regular and transparent relations with local authorities
  • Allow or prohibit the operation of installations, buildings or equipment on the sites, according to the results of risk analysis
  • CPPT Role in the Belgian office 
  • Safety, environment, security and ergonomics indicators

You will work closely together with:

  • Operation Director
  • HR Director
  • Security Director
  • DO-EHS
  • Employees and their representatives

 


Your profile

You are analytical strong but pragmatic when the situation requires. As a person you are determined to make a great impact by taking initiatives and sharing your ideas. It is important to feel comfortable to collaborate with different stakeholders and that you know how to convince them if necessary. Furthermore, you are open minded and supportive towards new initiatives.

 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Knowledge on local rules and regulations
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar field or position
  • Experience in Group EHS tools (risk analysis, root causes analysis, etc.)
  • ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 certifications
  • Completed Masters degree
  • Language requirement: Fluent in English and French, speaking Dutch is a benefit
