The person will have a double mission. 

 

As part of the Scientific Direction entity for the SHM application domain, the person will have the following missions:  

 

  • Identify new scientific territories for the four stakes of the Skin health management domain:
  1. Acne & oily skin 
  2. Dry, Rough skin and Atopy 
  3. Reactive and Sensitive skin 
  4. Wounded skin 
  • Identify the performing gaps for the skin health management domain and be involved in the assessment of new external partners (Open Innovation) to achieve the ambition of best-in-class innovations. 
  • Propose new performing engine associations for the different projects within the stakes. These associations should be based on strong scientific rationale and evidence to deliver new, better, and different performance.
  • Consolidate the scientific rationale on new territories, actives, and projects with the Advanced Research, Evaluation Intelligence and DA project leaders.

 

As part of the Valorization Direction entity for the SHM domain, the person will have the following missions:

 

  • Consolidate the scientific dossier on projects, actives and territories and ensure the relevancy of the data to support the transformation with our downstream Development partners. This includes: 
    1. Products claims in a Business-to-Consumer strategy.
    2. Increasing scientific legitimacy among healthcare professionals through scientific publications and conferences.
  • Build a strong valorization and communication set that is impactful for consumers and/or healthcare professionals. This includes: 
    1. Providing attractive, memorable, and consumer-friendly scientific content (claims, visualization, demos) to the brands.
    2. Identifying and creating new communication and visualization methods and supports.
    3. Strategizing the valorization angles to address the specificities of each division within the L'Oréal group.
  • Contribute to strengthening the scientific credibility of innovations among healthcare professionals through publications and posters with partners (Rav, Evaluation) and healthcare professional key opinion leaders.

 

 

The person will report to the Skin Health Management Application Domain Leader, the Scientific Direction Director, and the Scientific Valorization Director.


Required Knowledge and Competency 

  • DERMATOLOGIST, Ph.D. in Skin Biology or Doctor of Pharmacy
  • Experience as a dermatologist, or at least 10 years of experience in skin biology in the pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Knowledge or understanding of regulations related to the pharmaceutical or dermo-cosmetics industry.
  • Knowledge and experience related to tests to evaluate biological active activity from in vitro to clinical assessments.
  • Strong ability to consolidate scientific files.
  • Strong ability in communication at conferences and writing publications.
