In the department Scientific and Regulatory Government Affairs, we are looking for a Scientific & Regulatory External Policies Leader

Location : Clichy

Your role : 
  • Lead some internal and external activities related to strategic policies and regulatory frameworks under changes.
  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders, including industry partners, regulatory bodies and governments to frame and deploy regulatory driven policies.
  • Master your scientific and regulatory expertise to support company core priorities by engaging in international consortia and international regulatory or scientific meetings. 

Your key responsibilities :

As a member of the R&I Scientific and Regulatory Governmental Affairs Team, you will :

  • Collaborate with or coordinate cross-functional teams related to global regulatory policy to ensure proper external regulatory management with stakeholders.
  • Represent L’Oréal Research and Innovation externally within trade association groups and international task forces to impactfully deploy key policy changes.
  • Formalize strategic policies and develop action plans collecting input from multiple competency area on identified issues and deliver through appropriate documentation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Expert scientists, regulatory authorities, industry associations and external partners to influence the establishment of regulations and technical standards
  • Maintain high level of awareness of latest trends related to regulatory policies in scope
  • Represent the entity in regional and global internal taskforce by providing expertise to global network.
  • Strengthen our network of external partners and associations to shape policy discourse for international convergence proposal.

To succeed in this position, you have : 
         
  • Proven experience in strong Leadership to animate and lead cross functional international team.
  • Ability to engage externally and influence stakeholder and partners,
  • Strong scientific or regulatory background (cosmetics, chemicals, other relevant
  • Rigorousness, deepen analysis, synthetic and clear communication, ability to cooperate and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Strategic thinking 
  • English speaker + other foreign language, ideally French
  • At minimum, master’s degree in relevant field with 10 years of experience
