Location: Field based [Preferably Northeast]

Summary: Responsible for the development and implementation of effective and complete training programs for La Roche-Posay and CeraVe Dermatology Sales Team focused on but not limited to:

  • Continued overall development
  • Skill enhancement [probing/targeted messaging]
  • Product/clinical knowledge
  • Competitive knowledge
  • Brand initiatives. 

Works closely with VP of Sales, Integrated Health, Medical Relations, and the Marketing team to understand training needs and to develop/implement on-going training programs for the field as well as relevant, timely content for 2X/year national sales meetings.  Collaborates with Regional Directors and leads select Dermatology Sales Managers who rotate as field trainers. Develops the Multi-Channel strategy for the team with focus on patient centric approach. Owns the team’s social media and digital strategy.

Organizational Alignment:

  • Reports to the Vice President of Sales
  • Accountability/responsibility to stakeholders on both La Roche-Posay and CeraVe
  • Direct report staff includes 1 Director of Training

Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with Marketing to understand fully the Marketing driven Medical Detailing aids in order to develop and execute training against it, including scripts, assess field’s success with the core visual aid as well as any other support materials such as brochures, leave behinds. 
  2. Lead ongoing conference calls/training updates nationwide.
  3. Assess needs for ongoing new education and training programs, continually evaluating effectiveness of new and existing programs and working closely with VP of Sales and brand teams to assess current state of field knowledge/skills to establish priorities for the team overall and individuals.
  4. Develop new content addressing the needs assessment above.
  5. Source new training methodologies and media for delivering education programs and lead continuous transformation of the LDBA LMS platform.
  6. Develop and deliver new hire training and collaborate with field sales to ensure that all new hires to team are well-trained and familiarized with the brands, core values, philosophy, positioning, differentiation, disease states, products and selling skills.
  7. Lead content creation for both internal (RD, RT and DSM) and external users (IQVIA and HCP).
  8. Communicate with International Education Team to ensure execute international strategy and leverage international tools where possible.
  9. Lead the execution of training sessions in Sales Meetings working closely with the VP to determine needs and to develop content.
  10. Ride along with Dermatology Sales Managers and provide field coaching.
  11. Organize social media trainings for DSM together with the social media guidelines and strategy.
  12. Participate in building the DSM team strategy, cycles and priorities with VP of Sales
  13. Lead the Leadership Development programs for both Regional Directors and Dermatology Sales Managers

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the skincare industry/brands and skincare, ingredients, skin function
  • Proven track record (minimum 5 years) in developing educational program content and conducting training
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in digital training i.e. apps, webinars, custom platforms
  • Ability to travel 40% domestically (minimal international as needed)
  • Strong collaborative and influencing skills are essential to work with cross-functional teams
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Organizational skills to proactively manage time and meet deadline
