The Connected Beauty Team belongs to the L’Oréal Global Beauty Tech and to the O+O IT services domain.
Our multidisciplinary team is responsible for developing, deploying worldwide and maintaining mobile applications for devices like K-Scan or Rouge-Sur-Mesure.

What a day in the life of the Technical Project Manager for Connected Services looks like:
As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the coordination and successful delivery of applications and backend services for the connected beauty platform. You act as the central point of contact between cross-functional teams, including development, QA, DevOps, and product management, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Your role involves defining squad objectives, reviewing technical backlog, managing technical risks, tracking progress, and facilitating clear communication across stakeholders to guarantee timely and high-quality delivery of scalable, secure, and performant platform components. Everyone in the team is autonomous and hands on, you should be also confortable using observability tools, create dashboards, writing scripts or automating some actions.

Secondly, in this specific position, it will be important for you this competencies:
- Agile Facilitation and Coaching: Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives) fostering a collaborative and self-organizing team environment. Drive continuous improvement of Agile practices within the team through metrics tracking and process refinement.
- Backlog Refinement and Sprint Execution: Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine the product backlog, ensuring user stories are clearly defined, estimated, and technically feasible. Actively participate in sprint planning, helping the team commit to realistic sprint goals. Monitor sprint progress, identifying and removing impediments blocking the team's velocity. Shield the team from external distractions, enabling focused development work.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication: Facilitate transparent communication within the team and with external stakeholders. Proactively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Production Support and Incident Management: Work closely with the RUN team to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, providing technical expertise and guidance. Participate in post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. This includes analyzing logs, metrics, and code to diagnose and fix issues, as well as collaborating on preventative measures.
Project Management
- Cross-Project Coordination: Orchestrate communication and dependencies across multiple projects, ensuring alignment on timelines and deliverables. Facilitate the resolution of cross-project conflicts and resource allocation challenges.
- Release Management: Maintain and track the release plan, communicating updates and potential roadblocks to stakeholders. Collaborate with the development team to ensure releases are on schedule and meet quality standards. Proactively identify and mitigate release risks.
- Technical Liaison: Act as a technical liaison between the development team and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts and requirements. Consolidate and communicate technical alerts and challenges from the team to relevant stakeholders.
Technical Leadership and Contribution
- Hands-on Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of iOS application development, Swift, and relevant frameworks. Demonstrate a deep understanding of RESTful APIs, including API design principles, HTTP methods, status codes, and common data formats (JSON, XML). Be capable of reading, understanding, and challenging API specifications and implementations, ensuring efficient and secure data exchange. Contribute to code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Technical Design and Documentation: Lead the pre-analysis of SDK documentation and APIs, identifying potential integration challenges and opportunities. Critically evaluate REST API designs, proposing improvements and challenging existing implementations based on best practices and performance considerations. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, API integration guides, and testing documentation.
- API Testing and Validation: Possess practical experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger UI, Insomnia) to validate API functionality, performance, and security. Develop and execute comprehensive API test plans, covering positive and negative test cases, edge cases, and error handling.
- Deployment and Infrastructure: Support the Lead Developer in organizing and executing application deployments across all environments (development, staging, production). Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to optimize the deployment pipeline and ensure smooth releases. Troubleshoot deployment issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Technical Partner Management: Work closely with technical partners (R&I, CRM, HIP, IoT device vendors) to define integration requirements, manage dependencies, and ensure seamless interoperability. This includes reviewing and providing feedback on partner APIs and integration specifications.
