Key Job Accountabilities 

  1. Manage new product development from conception to industrialization, in collaboration with other stakeholders, DMI, RAI and Operations with a 360° product approach (quality/timing/cost/sustainability).
  2. Conduct risk assessment with main stakeholders to ensure the industrial feasibility and establish action plans. Follow up of the action plan and adjust it when necessary until all solution will be implemented.
  3. Create project planning by checking the accurate lead time in corporation with other actors, follow up to be done throughout whole development process, revise it when necessary.  
  4. Support Marketing to find the best packaging solution in quality, costs, timing and sustainability
  5. Bring innovation relevant to the brand.
  6. Contribute to Brand P/L improvement by controlling the cost of goods.  

 

Required Competencies 

○ Job-specific experiences and competencies 

●project management with internal/external stakeholder both in Japanese and English at least 2 years 

●high communication skill (both Japanese and English) 

●knowledge on cosmetics packaging including decoration : preferable 

●basic skill on MS office (Word, Excel, Power Point) 

○ 5 L'ORÉAL competencies (details are discussed in a separate guide)

●flexible both on time management and mindset. Sometimes this job requires to mobilize quickly or requires to go on-site suddenly to solve unexpected issues. Product definition, planning may change for X reason; need to find best solution in constructive way. 

●resilience for pressure 

●possibility to be a manager in future
