As the M&A Head of Origination, you will be a driving force behind L’Oréal's external growth strategy on a global scale. You will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating strategic acquisition opportunities that will shape the future of beauty, with a significant focus on both the beauty and pharmaceutical sectors. Your vision and deal-making expertise will directly contribute to our long-term ambition.
- Strategic Deal Sourcing: Proactively CONTRIBUTE to identify and originate a pipeline of M&A opportunities worldwide, aligning with the Group's strategic priorities and long-term vision, and in collaboration mode with the business leaders, Divisions and Zones.
- Expert Negotiation: Lead and orchestrate complex deal negotiations from inception to closing, ensuring favorable terms and value creation for L’Oréal.
- Project Management: Strong leadership and proven experience on leading multi functional teams in a matrix organization, and strong relationship with high level external advisors.
- Executive Stakeholder Management: Develop and present compelling business cases and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional gravitas and communication skills.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities across the beauty and pharmaceutical industries to inform our M&A strategy.
We Are Looking For
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader with a proven track record of executing high-stakes M&A transactions. You possess a unique blend of financial acumen, strategic foresight, and deep industry knowledge. Your ability to navigate complex negotiations and influence at the highest levels will be key to your success.
- Highly experienced in M&A, with a strong background in deal origination and negotiation.
- Demonstrated strategic vision and the ability to translate it into actionable acquisition strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is highly sought after, complemented by a keen interest in the beauty sector.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities and executive presence, with proven "board-level" presentation and influencing skills.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Investment banking experience is a must
- Fluency in both English and French is required for this global role.
- Grit, resiliency, ability to drive and deliver under pressure and with often impossible timelines
