WHO WE ARE 

With billions of products manufactured each year, our Packaging team’s mission is to create innovative and functional packaging that meets the expectations of consumers around the world, from safety and quality to sustainability and experience. 

Our Packaging Science Center is the group’s packaging research lab and one of the group’s key innovation engines. We put knowledge and science at the service of materials and process innovation, transforming sustainable packaging. The lab is headquartered in France and operates with two main hubs in New York and Shanghai. 

A DAY IN THE LIFE 

As the Global Head of the Packaging Science Center, you will be responsible of 

• Leading the roadmap for the Research Lab in line with the group’s innovation and sustainability objectives, defining the packaging innovation strategy (materials, processes and systems). 
• Managing and developing a team of material scientists, engineers and post-doctoral fellows. 
• Overseeing the project portfolio, incubating new projects and solutions for transformations into future products. 
• Scouting scientific innovations and technologies, selecting partners and building new ecosystems. 
• Setting guidance and solutions for materials safety, monitoring and anticipating safety requirements.  
• Representing the Packaging department internally and externally.  

YOUR FUTURE TEAM 

You will report to the Global VP of Packaging & Development and will work closely with peers in the Packaging Management Committee and partner teams in the Research & Innovation, Purchasing and Public Affairs teams. You will manage a direct team of material scientists, engineers and post-doctoral fellows.  

WHO YOU ARE 

• You have a background in applied research in material science. 
• You have managed large scale innovation projects, defined objectives, budget and timelines. 
• You have led diverse teams, with a focus on coaching and development. 

• You can communicate fluently in English. French is a plus.
